Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Another Twin Palms Triumph
Review: This is a beautiful book with images of domestic and farm animals admixed with unclad humans. The pairing works on many levels, and this is no marketing ploy to pique our interest.....animals and people emerge as equally beautiful, flawed, failed, strong and ultimately fallible. Peter Hujar I imagine to have been patient, curious and possessing great humility. These deceptively simple images are possibly not widely known, but deserve a larger audience, and Twin Palms has once again produced an outstanding volume of work by a photographer with a great eye. Poignant and exalted, the photos in this book make it one of the best photography monographs of recent times. Klaus Kertess' introduction is appreciative, concise and informative.
