Rating: Summary: Aficionados of New York beware! Review: I hope I never come across another book containing as many errors as this one. This is basically a picture book with brief passages of text (which I haven't read) in each section. Not only are the picture captions irritatingly uninformative, there are numerous glaring mistakes: for example "Williamsburg Bridge" pertaining to a photo of the George Washington Bridge; "Empire State Building" for separate photos of the Woolworth Building, the Chrysler Building and a view of the Woolworth, Municipal and US Courthouse Buildings (looking north!); "Sculptures on Fifth Avenue in Midtown" referring to photos of the Group of Trees in Chase Manhattan Plaza, the Noguchi Cube at 140 Broadway and the Non-Violence gun at the United Nations; "Colourful facade in Harlem" is in fact a gallery in Soho; "Parade on 5th Avenue" for a photo that clearly contains signs indicating that it was taken at the intersection of Broadway and West 52nd Street. There are others, but I think you get the idea. The one star is for some nice photos, although several of the larger ones are out of focus. Shame on the British publishers for this incompetent effort.

Rating: Summary: Beautiful Photography Book! Review: This book has beautiful photographs and great information about New York City. It is a warm appreciative book which provides photographs and tibits of information regarding the city. I enjoyed it very much and will include this in my book collection at school.
