Summary: Lots of fun at a good price
Review: My daughter and I used this book to have fun drawing together. It uses the basic shape system of teaching, like the "How To Draw" series of books. You will be taken step-by-step, starting often with circles and ovals, and then add the details in. This book comes from Walter Foster, a company that has been well-known for many, many years for quality art books, however they often lack some depth of instruction. I noticed it would jump pretty quickly from one step to the next and that can make it hard for beginners. Many children will enjoy just tracing their favorite characters, but that helps eye/hand coordination too. At this low price, you can't beat it. It would be a nice book to roll up with a ribbon and put into a Christmas stocking.

My 10 year old daughter had this to say about the book:

"The Nickelodeon drawing book was GREAT! It showed me how to do the character's expressions, like SpongeBob's frowns and stuff. It also had a lot of characters like Jimmy Neutron, SpongeBob, Rocket Power, Fairly Odd Parents, and Rugrats. I liked drawing SpongeBob from the book."
