Summary: If you like Gimenez, GET THIS BOOK!
Review: I have been a fan of Juan Gimemez since his first publishing back in the 80s in Heavy Metal Magazine. I was then introduced to more of his work when I lived in France. In Europe comics are made for adults and Gimenez is considered one of the best. His Meta Barons series is a classic and I'd recommend it to anyone who loves a great story and beautiful art.This book manages to show Gimenez's work throughout his entire career, starting with his early ink comic book work, up to his current paintings. There are beautiful reproductions of his covers, comic panels and many unfinished sketches. There is even a photo of Gimenez painting at his drawing board! Gimenez has been a huge influence on my personal work and to finally get a chance to see his methods, and inspiration was truly enlightening. This is a wonderful book with a great balance of art and just enough text. Definitely pick this up.
