Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Inspiration but no perspiration
Review: Garden Architecture in Europe is full of full color photographs and drawings of European gardens. It is full of magnificent inspiration for garden lovers, particularly if you enjoy formal parterres, colannades, terraces and water fountains.

The text mainly comprises historical prose with annecdotal comments, however, these is very little information in relation to designing, building or maintaining the type of garden pictured.

Ideal as a coffee table accessory or waiting room "magazine", this book provides an ejoyable wander through some truly superb classic gardens. It is not suitable for the student.
