Summary: Ender's Game-5 stars
Review: In the near future, aliends named the Buggers have already attacked the Earth once and were narrowly beaten. The humans are now preparing for a second attack from them and their greatest hope lies in the mind of one Andrew(Ender) Wiggin. So is the plot of Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card.
Throughout the book Card shows his enormous understanding of the child mind and military history. Card also doesn't fall into the pit of many other authors of making their main character perfect in every way. In Ender's Game we see Ender as a brilliant strategic mind but also very scarred. It doesn't help that Col. Graff(the supervisor of the school) has taken a personal interest in making Ender's life miserable through isolation from other kids. Those expecting an action packed novel with alien blasting will sort of get what they wanted, while there is some fighting in it, you won't miss it because of all of Ender's little shenanigans(!) he pulls off and just how smart he is.
Like the New York Times review above Ender is comparable to a young Napolean in short pants and as such, nobody should miss a great read like this.
Also dont forget to read the sequels after this book.

Review: This book was a great read for me, my friends will like it two. This book is NOT FOR EVERYBODY. But the ones who like it really will. This book as low AND high points. This being my first minutes after completing the book I feel as if a piece of me as gone... I have net yet determined if this has a sequil etc. but verymuch look forward to reading them if they exist.

Summary: Coming of Age Sci-Fi Story
Review: Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card is a very good Sci-Fi story, but I am giving only 4 stars because there are better books out there. This is more of a coming of age story suitable for younger Sci-Fi readers. Those who expect a techno Sci-Fi thriller may be disappointed.

Review: My 8 year old son picked this book up and read it in about 4 days, he was totally engrossed. I usually try to pre-read books before he does to make sure they are OK for his maturity level (since he is a very good reader), but I didn't screen this one first. After he finished it and liked it so much, I did read it. I don't read science fiction, but I quite enjoyed this book. In fact, I read it in two days! However, as I read it I decided I probably shouldn't have allowed him to read this book quite yet. There is profanity throughout (not tons, but often enough), nudity ... crudity (rude words/actions all around), and plenty of violence and gruesome images. So I'll sum this review up like this: The book is exciting, appealing to many ages, but be careful with younger kids because it is pretty intense and mature!

Review: This is, if you have never read any military or sci fi books before (and if you have) THE BOOK to read. It is not only exciting and thoughtprovoking, but also poignant and easy to understand. Ender's Game is one of those classic rarely found books that combines higher level thinking concepts and simple wordings that make this book great for reader's of all ages. A fair warning to first time scifi readers, all scifi books you read after this one will NOT live up to its standards. Now read the book!

Summary: Wonderful Science-Fiction: Can't Put It Down
Review: This is an absolutely wonderful work of science fiction. I bought Ender's Game and the rest of the Ender Quartet, without knowing what they were about, but I was pleasantly surprised. Orson Scott Card is a master of weaving tales of intrigue and of creating truly deep and interesting characters that you grow to love. Never have I encountered better character development than in Card's work. Ender's Game is a terrific book, but I ended up wanting so much more. I felt like I wanted this book to be twice as long, and it seemed to end way too quickly for me. It also seemed to be a little more character focused than the other books, which can be good or bad. Overall, a superb book. The whole series is a must-read for anyone with any interest in science-fiction.

Review: What can be said that hasnt already? amazing book. My review is here just to show I have read the book and reccomend it, but I reallly am just gonna blabber here.. This is not a well written review, it's just talk. This book is not only my favorite book, but it actually got me reading! I had not read any books on my own (not in school or because of school) since I was in 7th grade. I am a junior in high school now and I picked up this around novemeber 2002 and ever since I have been reading.. I cant believe I missed out for so long. I have read the next two books in the series (Speaker For The Dead, Xenocide) and I liked both... However Enders Game is the first book and even though I tend to think of "SPeaker For THe Dead" as an equal it would not be a good book if you did not read "Enders Game", even though it is a totally different story. Xenocide was a good book, but nothing more.. I didnt like the ending and the whole book was tiresome to read...

Summary: Starter's Game
Review: I read this book when I was in 5th grade. It was the very first science fiction book I ever read--in fact, it was the first great book I ever read. I'm in 10th grade now, and I still think of this book as being one of the best I have ever read. When I read it back then, I couldn't believe what I was reading, it was so good! This was back when I read RL Stine and Bruce Colville, and this was just one big amazement that there was so much better literature out there. Since that time I have read a lot of Stephen King, Jack Kerouac, Chuck Palahniuk, Irvine Welsh...Ender's Game was the one and only science fiction book I ever took the time to read, I don't really know why. I've read a little bit now of Philip K. Dick, and it made me think of this book, and now I think I am going to read it again, just to see if it is as good as it was back then. I think it will be. I remember a tremendous ending that left me in awe, I can't remember details though. Read this.
