Summary: For Everyone
Review: I'm not a regular science fiction reader but had heard so many positive, glowing reports about ENDER'S GAME, that I decided to read it. I usually judge a book by the impact and effect it has on me; and if I can remember the story for a length of time after I've read it, I determine it is a good book. Well, I read ENDER'S GAME three weeks ago and I still think of children and war. ENDER'S GAME was a creative, excellent way to tell us what most should know- in children lie our hope and future; the values, attitudes and beliefs they learn and live by will determine the world they live in. ENDER'S GAME can challenge our own assumptions and beliefs. It is definitely worth reading.

Summary: Excellent
Review: Whether you like science fiction or not, this book is very worthwhile reading. Its well-written and provactive with a great storyline. It is especially interesting for teens and young adults in gifted-and-talented school programs.

The sequels do not live up the original, unfortunately.

Summary: The Best Book Ever!
Review: I believe that saying that Ender's Game is "The best book ever written" should say it all, though even that doesn't do this one justice. Though it is a Sci-Fi book, It is really a superbly written psychological tale about a young boy in tremendous circumstances. This is by far the best book I've ever read, and I'd suggest it to anyone. I've purchased 10 copies, and have given them all away. I'm here for copy number 11.
(By the way, the entire series is great, but nothing compares with the original.)

Summary: Ender's Game: Why ut fell asleep at dinner with grandparents
Review: Yes, folks, it's true. The first time I read "The Book", the one that has its own small shrine in my room, I stayed up all night-- from 1.30 to 10 in the morning when I finished it. I don't like missing sleep-- I'm a big fan of the stuff-- and it takes quite a book to make me break my strict bedtime of uh... okay, so I don't have one. I love this one. I think it's ruined me for other books. The games, the characters, and especially my love for the protagonist is unequaled by any book I have ever read, and possibly any book known to man. Read the book... *pokes you* read it now...
PS: and yes, I did actually fall asleep at dinner with my grandparents the night after I read this.

Summary: Ender's Game: A Sci-Fi Breakthrough
Review: Wow. This amazing sci-fi novel of Andrew Wiggin (nicknamed 'Ender' by his older sister, Valentine) leaves you stunned! I just couldn't stop reading, when I pick up the book, I know to get ready for a terrific 'ride'. Ender is a 'Third', or the third child born breaking the two children rule unless approved by the government. Ender was supposed to be the perfect commander, according to the International Fleet. When Ender was only six, he was taken to Battle School, where they train children to fight in the war against the aliens called Formics, or Buggers for slang. Ender was thought to have never made it, but quickly goes up ranks. From launchy to soldier, from soldier to commander. Soon enough Ender is knowen of all over Battle School. And when the time comes, Ender eventually faces a very serious realization that I won't spoil it for you! At the end you'll be baffled and wishing so more! So don't forget to pick up the rest of the series!

Summary: One of the best sci-fi books ever.
Review: This book has become a classic in the sci-fi realm. It is an extremely entertaining and fast read. It is defintely on of Mr. Card's best works. But even if you love this book, be careful on it's sequels - they are very different in story and tone. If you're looking for a great follow up - try "Ender's Shadow" - which is the same story told froma different character's point of view. I know it sounds kind of forced and trite, but it is actually very good and will give you what you want if you're an Ender's Game fan.

Summary: Child Genius, Believable?
Review: I found this book thoroughly enjoyable and contrary to some opinions, very believable. If you want a complete review, read no further. If you are interested in why this book delivers convincing fiction, read on:

It is often stated that the flaw in Ender's Game is the assumption that a child could become a military genius. Is it conceivable? Although Ender is young, he became a military genius in the context of a futuristic war. In Ender's Game, war is a tactical simulation controlled remotely like a computer game. In this isolated world where only the "game" exists, Ender's ability to excel is similar to Bobby Fischer's ability to excel in chess. Thus, Ender became a general, but not in a form as we would recognize today.

Readers occasionally criticize how effortlessly the main characters gain control of world powers through ficticious personas and the media. Again, if you find this part unbelievable, think of the future context in which Card presents his story. In Card's world, the 'net' is omnipresent and media is both centralized and uniformly believed by the masses. With this type of medium, is it possible for a small group of people to gain control of the powers that be? (Before the 'net', consider Hitler, Macarthy, Martin Luther King). Decide for yourself and give Ender's Game a try.

Summary: On the edge
Review: This was a way diffrent book then I expected. The plot is wonderful, but kind of hard to follow. YOu really have to pay close attention to every word. The main plot is a boy, about 6 is transferred to a space station where they train to kill and destroy buggers(aliens). Ender is supposed to be the best of the best, and he is. But life here is not so easy. Jealousies, Trials and Fears dominate the air. The story keeps you on the edge of your seat at all times. If you like Sci Fi, this book is for you.

Summary: Read only this, pass the other books in the series
Review: It's an amazing book, indeed one of the best science fiction books I've ever read. I read it when I was about 12 and it was a great introduction to the science fiction genre. The fact that the hero is a kid makes it a great book to the younger readers, and it is an interesting book, that I read again and again, even today, 6 years later, and still enjoy it. A good gift to the 13th and on birthdays.
