Summary: A fantastic read, I couldn't put it down!
Review: This book was so good my friends are all reading it! I told every one of my friends about it, that's how good it was! It took me 4 days to read it, because i stayed up all night long just to finish it. The passion in this book made my spine tingle, and my heart beat faster than it has in a while! Anyone who reads it will find it one of the best books you'll ever find.

Summary: Amazing
Review: This is the most incredible story I have ever read the twists and turns drag you along. If you have seen the movie and hate Scarlett read the book. She has a more rounded character in the book. You see her reasons for doing what she does.
I hate to reread books but I know that I will reread this book 100 times.

Summary: The Best Book I have ever read in my life
Review: I was recommended this book by my cousin and though what the heck, I'll give it a chance. When I fist opened it I was hooked. Its the most amazing book ever. Margerett Mitchell writes things in a way most authors don't. She is very descriptive and tells you details people think may not be nteresting but actually are and make you feel as if you are in the book. I bresthed this book for 8 days until I finished it and then ammediatly went for the sequel. You have to read this book. If you don't you are missing out on one of the best peices of literature and experiences of history. This books draws you in to its own little world and civilization and you see how people's mind worked in the 1800's and how they thought of xlavery. This is the civil war by a southerners point of veiw that actually has you cherring them on, cursing the yankees for ruining their way of life.

Scarlett was the most real charecter I have ever read about. Every choice she made, good or bad, you saw through her eyes how logical her decision was. She was spoiled and did things only for herself yet you can't help loving her anyways. And Rett was the perfect man for this love story. They are so alike and so different.

This is the best book ever. I mean it. I've read it so many times that I've lost count so READ IT!!!!

Summary: You have got to read it !!!!
Review: Gone With The Wind is the best book I have ever read. I like it because of the setting{I like the old time books}and the characters. I also like it because it is very long and keeps my interest, which is very hard to do. So I think it is a good book to read.

Summary: Amazing
Review: This is an great book. The character interaction, the historical sweep, everything. If you love, or even like, the movie, you should definitely read this book. There are so many things, even characters, in the book that were left out of the movie, the book fleshes everything out. I absolutely recommend this book!

Summary: Good Writing Lousy History
Review: GONE WITH THE WIND is a book that deserved to win the Pulitzer prize for its well developed Characters and fine writing but PLEASE don't buy it as history.
I see no reason to call the Atlanta citizens "rare courage" unless you mean half baked!
The slaves -- yes for what they endured.
The Union troops (Black and White) fighting to preserve the Union IN FREEDOM and President Lincoln who went through hell for the nation but NOT the Confederates who were only seeking their own advantage and trying to tear our nation apart to establish a slave empire.
Sorry but facts are facts.

Summary: The Great American Novel
Review: ... Millions of people not only remember Gone with the Wind, but re-read it faithfully. Literary critics and scholars don't like this book and wish it would go away. The reason? They can't quite account for its enduring popularity. It's sentimental. It doesn't break new literary ground. It's racist. Blah, blah, blah. And yet. How many other works of so-called "popular fiction" from the '30s and '40s are remembered, let alone read, today? None. How many are even in print? None. The hub-bub surrounding Alice Randall's satirical follow-up last year had less to do with that novel's merits than the near mythical status Gone with the Wind has achieved in American culture. Why? Because Mitchell tells a helluva story. Unforgettable and complex characters, an involving plot and a timeless theme: survival. The pacing, structure and language run circles around most books published today, yes, even those with literary aspirations. All this and heroine who dares not to be liked. Come to think of it, maybe Mitchell did break new ground. Pick it up. You won't be able to put it down.
