Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Outdated and ill-advised
Review: Much of the advice in this book is timeless and helpful. But there are major gaps in the content since it obviously was written before the Internet became a valuable recruiting tool. More worrisome, however, are some very questionable recommendations like:
1. Trust your first instincts in an interview (and perhaps end the interview process there)
2. When a resume indicates a gap in employment and the applicant says an injury was the reason, ask what kind of injury and press on to make sure it's valid.
I could go on but won't. Dr. Hair is a well-meaning man and very knowledgeable about some areas. I just wouldn't advise paying money for this book unless you get a very good deal on a used copy.
