Summary: I loved it!!
Review: I have to say that this is my favorite so far. Despite all the magic and fantastic things that happen, this is so realistic when it comes to the romance part!! I highly recommend it!!

Summary: Great Book!
Review: I realy like how Alanna struggles to find herself in this book. I also like how she beat Roger, but didn't do it perfectly. Also i feal that her being the first woman knight plays a big part in me liking the story.

Summary: Interesting
Review: Funny, romantic, interesting, suspenseful, magical, fantastic -- what more could you ask for in a book? In my opinion, though, it's not for young readers: they probably know about sex, but that doesn't mean they have to read about it.
P.S. If you like Tamora Pierce, you'll like Robin McKinley. Check her out.

Summary: Best of the Lioness series
Review: I thought this was an excellent book. I love strong female characters and also some romance. I'm a thirteen year old girl and I have read all of the Lioness and the Immortals books. I think these books are extremely well written and suggest them to anyone who likes adventure. I think In the Hands of the Goddess is the best, hands-down.

Summary: Alanna's second adventure is more exciting than the first...
Review: Alanna is in her second year of being at the palace. She meets the goddess and gets a cat. While she is fighting Roger she is also with Prince Jonathan and George.

Summary: Women Can Do Anything they set thier mind to! Even Alanna..
Review: This Book I think was the best of the series. Alanna's secret is revealed and she goes through the Ordeal. Also in the beggining she recieves a cat. He has purple eyes just like her and serves as guide through the acomplishments and trials of her life. I would recomend this book to anyone who likes to read and loves knights, kings, queens, magic etc....

Summary: i just wish there were more.......
Review: This is one of my favorite books. It combines romance, fantasy, and adventure in a well-written page-turner. I have read all the books in the series many times over, especially Hand of The Goddess. When I first finished the series, I was really sad, but then I discovered how re-readable they are.

I really get attached to the characters and get wrapped up in the stories. I am so involved and know Alanna so well that I feel her panic as the spider approaches her during her Ordeal of Knighthood. I feel her embarrassment about George, and I am happy along with her when she overcomes- (you have to read the book!).

does anyone know how to write to Tamora Pierce? I want to ask her to write more Tortall books, even if she's already started a new series about somewhere else....

Summary: Alanna puts the smack down!
Review: Whoa! I must say that I didn't want this book to end! The first chapter grabs you and pulls you in as usual! I love how Alanna doesn't let people push her around, and I really like how she is one of the Goddess's favorites! The romance in this book makes you blush and smile. Go Alanna!

Summary: Does a girl have the courage to face her destiny?
Review: In The Hand of The Goddess is one of my all-time favorite books. Adventure, action, deceit, truth, magic, friends, evil,-- every thing is in this book, told in a wy to draw you into it and grab you. This book is about a girl, Alanna, disguised as a boy at court. As if that isn't hard enough, two men who have discovered her identity are determined to become her lovers. then there's Duke Roger. Every one likes him, loves him. The uncle of the prince, the greatest sorcerer alive. Charm, wit. Alanna hates him, hates him with something she cannot understand. She is a Chosen of the Great Mother Goddess. She must slay the Queen's favorite nephew, befor the Duke purposely destroys the Queen, the King, then the Prince. And after the prince the next in line for the thrown is Duke Roger. Alanna failed to act in her first book, Alanna: The First Adventure. Will she now?
