Summary: Not to be missed
Review: A great action book that actually keeps you guessing. You want to put it down, but just can't seem able to. YOu know what I mean? (I will not go into what happens in the book, because it somehow defeats the point of reading it).

This is my first Deutermann book, and something tells me it won't be the last.

Do read it. It will make a great action movie one day.

Summary: Good Solid Thriller with some serious problems
Review: A ripping yarn, but it is clear the author has an agenda which might at first be budget problems or turf wars for the Feds. Or maybe he justed hated Janet Reno. He doesn't let political facts stand in the way of his imagination, which is okay.

His FBI is bunch of incompentent fumblers. His heroine has seven years experience with the Fibbies, but sure is dense when it comes to being briefed by "horse holders."

Then again, there is the problem of basic procedure which regard to the baddies. Uh, wouldn't one imagine that some law enforcement agency would be able to call up background check on ol' Jared and know pretty quickly that his Daddy died in WACO.

I think so....and I think life you love male oriented adventure fiction with a hard right wing skrew, the logic and procedural problems will not bother the reader too much.

I am fussy about accuracy in police precedurals, but Deutermann has an instinctive understanding of plotting, and a pretty good handle on pacing and dialogue.

Perfect for that long plane ride to nowhere. And lot better than Tom Clancy hack jobs.

Summary: Captain Deutermann is in the HUNT. Again.
Review: I have had the pleasure of reading four P. T. Deutermann novels to date. Mr. Deutermann's story telling is like a fine wine, it seems to improve with age. I have totally enjoyed every Deutermann offering that I have read.

I was first introduced to author Deutermann when I read Sweepers, then I read Scorpion in the Sea, and finally Zero Option. I write in the military genre myself, primarily Navy, and noticed that while Mr. Deutermann has gotten away from writing about his roots, the Navy, that he is still not opposed to attacking the establishment. Our federal government, bless their hearts, are such an easy target, don't you think?

In Hunting Season, Deutermann returns to using a woman, Janet Carter, as one of his primary protagonists. Remember Karen from Sweepers? Janet, a rookie Fed, reminded me of Clarice Starling in Silence of the Lambs. And, like Sweepers, he has introduced to us to yet another sweeper. This time he writes about a good sweeper. How could there be such a thing as a good sweeper I ask? The psychological profile of the beast spells psychopath.

Hunting Season is a thriller in every sense of the word; its plot is both quick in pace and quick in action. And with enough twists and turns to keep any thrill seeking reader happy. P. T. Deutermann has a winner again so go hunting for and find Hunting Season.

Summary: Another great read
Review: I just finished reading Mr. Deutermann's new novel, and it was great. I still get claustrophobic thinking about the scene in the cave! The book was hard to put down, and really really interesting in the details of the main character's actions. I hope though, that we see these characters again, I feel like there is so much more I want to know about the main character, I wasn't ready to let him go. If you are already a fan, read this book, you won't be disappointed. If you are new to this super author, this is a good one to start with, you will become a fan.

Summary: 5 stars not enough
Review: I read LOTS of books and I believe this is one of the absolute best I have ever read. Well written, plausable storyline, incredible thrills, and unusual twists. Great characters, both good and bad.Went to the library and checked out every book he has written that was available.
This review won't discuss the plot because you should read it without any prior information.I would offer one simple solution for you - buy it, rent it, get it. You will not be disappointed. A SLAM DUNK BOOK that should be at the top of any list of outstanding thrillers.

Summary: WOW!
Review: I'm not exactly sure what I expected to get when I started this novel. However, what I got was far beyond any standard I have ever set on this particular genre. The characters were varied and the action was so well-written I thought I was there! With so many twists and turns, it stays exciting to the end: a definite winner!

Review: Lose the paranoid bs, and you've got a readable adventure. This is way too wordy. How come a highly trained hero has to be saved by a novice, bumbling amateur?

Summary: One of The Greatest Storytellers of 21st Century
Review: Mr. Deutermann has become a master storyteller. The plot, the writing, the whole structure of this book is so good that only gave you a rare satisfying feeling after you finished it. There is no hole or overlook in this book, just a so great, likable main character, tough and loving as any father could be. I only found one printing error: "tied" should be "tried" There is no other correction to be made only wholehearted praises. Thanks, Mr. D, for giving me another tour de force and sleepless reading. Keeping writing, Sir, good health, and God Bless.

Summary: "Book of the Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Review: Put this book right up there with the very best, if you have not read books by this author, then you are missing one of the top three authors in this country. This man can tell a story, and in this book HUNTING SEASON is a thriller/mystery, at the its very best. The top authors don't need to to just move over, they have already been passed by P T DEUTERMANN. If you are looking for a book that you can't put down, with a real story ,with real characters by a real author, run out and by this book "fast" you will have done yourself a real favor!!!
