Summary: Best of the Summer
Review: I enjoyed this book more than any I have read in a long time.
You laugh out loud. It is fun, fun, fun. I love it. I pray Mary Kay Andrews writes her next one asap.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Fun, fun reading
Review: I enjoyed this book so much. If you are a fan of Susan Issacs or Jane Heller, this book is for you. I laughed out loud in places and I so enjoyed the excellent depiction of the southern personalities. I also have to say that the author played the mystery out really well, and I couldn't guess who the culprit was. So read this book and enjoy!!!

Summary: A real original
Review: I genuinely enjoyed this book. It mixed believable characters, crime, antiques and a real, unique sense of place into a delicious stew. Eloise (Weezie) is a lovely, flawed heroine -- not at all Superwomen, but flesh and blood and very capable of making hysterical mistakes. Her relationships with family, friends, neighbors and men all ring true (eccentric, perhaps, but true nevertheless). The only reason that I subtracted a star is that I found it slow going in the beginning. I got a little impatient waiting for the action to really begin. Still, it was a great summer read.

Summary: Excellent read!
Review: I grew up in the Savannah so I could relate to all of the places she talked about in this book. It is a hilarious book and a very quick read. If you are looking for lighthearted and funny - this is the book! An Excellent summer read!

Summary: Excellent read, really interesting characters
Review: I grew up in the south and enjoy reading books in that setting. I also enjoy antiquing, cooking, and romance. This book had it all for me and I even learned some things while I enjoyed reading this book. I couldn't put it down and was disappointed at the end to find out that Mary Kay Andrews hasn't written any more books! I certainly look forward to her next book.

Summary: Good Entertainment
Review: I liked this book. Actually I REALLY liked this book. There are some little factual errors that may muddle the mind of the most finicky of readers but as long as you understand going in that this book isn't meant to be fine literature you won't be disappointed. That being said it is a good read and as far as chick lit goes, very well written and entertaining. Books fulfill many needs for their readers and this one is pure mind candy. It isn't heavy, deep literature with political or social overtones. It's a fun read that isn't too taxing but it isn't trash either. I think I'll call it great Entertainment Fiction and leave it at that.

Summary: I'm so glad I picked this one up!
Review: I love romantic suspense, but when you sprinkle in a fair amount of humor, it gets even better. This book was especially enjoyable because it was set in my own neck of the woods. Don't pass this one up!

Summary: I didn't want it to end!
Review: I love this book, and now that I know Mary Kay Andrews is Kathy Hogan Trochek, another favorite, I'm going to be begging for more.

I devoured it in less than 24 hours and almost started to read it all over again. Having lived in Savannah as a child and in Windsor Forest, shopped in Adlers and played in Forsyth Park, played on the beach at Tybee when the old hotel was there and knew it well when it was seedy, she was pushing all of the right buttons for me.

I'm going to buy a copy of this for my mother's birthday she will be enchanted. Anderson has it all down right. Lets have more now!

Summary: Entertaining
Review: I loved all the info about Savannah, plantations and of course, the food. The characters with unique and they all had their own funny quirks. BeBe's attitude and way of getting things done was admirable. The only problem I had was with Weezie's attitude with Daniel. It was obviously the guy was in love with her and she didn't treat him very well.

Other than that I enjoyed the book.
