Summary: Wonderful book
Review: This is the wonderfully engaging tale of how Bugliosi successfully prosecuted the Manson Family for the August 1969 murders. However, if you wish to learn a lot about the backgrounds of the "family" members, this is not the book for you. This book is from a law-enforcement point of view. If you pick up this book hoping to learn about Manson and his philosophy, you'll be disappointed. However, if you want to know how the players were implicated and prosecuted, there's no better book.

Summary: 30 Years Later This Story Represents So Many Wasted Lives
Review: I wasn't alive when Sharon Tate and the six other people were killed by the Manson followers but I sure remember being scared as a kid growing up in the 1970's and seeing their images on TV. This book is a great read and very informative. It is a shame that so many lives were wasted as a result of these killings. The book is chilling and made me feel as if I was in the living room at Sharon Tate's house. See the 'Blair Witch Project'? Read this book if you want to know true human evil and the power of fear.

Summary: Bait & Switch
Review: The subtitle of this book, "The True Story Of The Manson Murders", is a bit of a misnomer. This is really the true story of Vincent Bugliosi, the investigation of the Manson murders and the subsequent trial. Manson, the Family and the murders are supporting players here. There is alot of detail in this 700 page book and, again, most of it has to do with gathering evidence and boring courtroom semantics. Certainly Bugliosi should be commended on all the work he did, but I don't need to know aboout it. It was exhausting for him; it shouldn't be for me. There is some interesting interaction between Bugliosi and Manson, but it is very brief. I read this book hoping to learn more about Manson because he is strange and interesting. Bugliosi, as a subject (sorry, Vince) is just not very strange or interesting.

Summary: Breathtaking, chilling and unbelievable
Review: I have read this book cover to cover 4 times. It is the most chilling murders I personally think ever took place in this country. Everything from how, when, and why they did it will simply take your breath!!!

Summary: Disturbing, but extremely interesting.
Review: I read this book, and I am only 17 years old. This is an extremely good book, but I would not reccomend it to anybody under 16 years of age...I thoroughly enjoyed it, was scared out of my mind, and was disturbed to the point where I wanted to put down the book but found myself reading on to find out what happened next. READ IT YOURSELF!!

Summary: GREATEST BOOK OF THE SUMMER!!!!!
Review: This book is the greatest book of the summer. If you haven't read it yet, do so soon. I got it from one of my friends, and it is just so cool. You can not get over the suspense of the book. It's a terrifying mystery that is interesting. Some parts to me are gross. But the rest of the book is terrific.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A MUST READ FOR ANYONE INTERESTED IN TRUE CRIME!! RIVETING!!
Review: Last year I found this book and once I opened it I could not put it down. Bugliosi is excellent at bringing the details to life on the page. Not only do we get a first hand account of the trial, but he also explains much of the legal process in very clear and understandable terminology. I am now a fan of his work and will be reading everything I can of his.

Summary: The best and most comprehensive report of the Manson murders
Review: Who better to write a book on the Manson family murders than the prosecutiing attorney. Vincent Bugliosi captures what actually happened during those two nights in 1969. Through testimony of his witnesses he gets eye-witness truths abouy Manson and his family. The best book I've ever read.
