Rating: Summary: A mixed up story Review: I thought it was an OK book. I liked the way it was written and the way they bring out the children in the book. It was fun reading a story about each of the students and the teachers. And it made the students unique and different in every aspect. I thought the book was stupid because most of these things could not have happened. If you are a guy who likes to read books in short stories, this is the book for you. If you like to read just one book, you may or may not like this book. If you want to read a long book, read Holes--you will really like it.
Rating: Summary: heh, how i remember Wayside.. Review: heh, I remember this book. Very funny, I havent read one of the Wayside books in at least three years.. i think i'll drag out this book again and read it, it really is a very good kids book, i recommend it. :) Ja Ne! -Sheena
Rating: Summary: Wayside School Review: Wayside School books are always funny to read, even on the third time. The hardest part is waiting for the next one to get sent to you. All of them are good. The're about the things like how when they built it, they built it 30 stories high. I guess that's what influences the kids so much, mostly on the 13th story.
Rating: Summary: Great's Children's Book Review: I can't really explain it, but after reading Harry Potter, I've developed a great love for all my old children's stories. Sideway Stories is one of them. It was a exciting blend of humor and classroom antics. Smart and exciting, any child would love this story. It's wacky but still heart warming. Please go out and read this book. It's great stuff.
Rating: Summary: My two boys are crazy about this book Review: My two older boys (7 and just 5) are crazy about this book. My 5 year is getting into reading and carries this book around with him. He reads me pieces in the car and whenever I will listen to him and he laughs about it while he's reading. My 7 year old read it over a year ago, but still remembers most of it. It's a crazy, cute book!
Rating: Summary: Great for all ages! Review: I am currently working in a 5th grade classroom and I am reading chapters from this book during our free time. The students are constantly surprised by the endings and find the book very funny. I like this selection because the chapters are short enough to get through in a limited amount of time and still hold the children's interest.
Rating: Summary: Great Kids Book Review: I read this book as a child and I am now buying it for my daughter. I still remember each of the stories and can't wait to share them with her.
Rating: Summary: Sideways Stories from Wayside School Review: This story is about a weird mixed up school that was built thewrong way. That may be why all funny things happen at Waysideschool.Especiallyon the 13th floor. On the 13th floor there's Ms.Gorf who turns all of her students into apples. And there's Todd who always gets sent home early and John who can only read upside down and there's Sammy But he is really a dead rat. I love this story because there's some stuff that don't usually happen in our school. E ND
Rating: Summary: Funny and Clever! Review: This book may not have had a "real" plot, but it was amazingly funny and extremely clever!
Rating: Summary: Awesome! Review: This is a very good book by Louis Sachar. It is about two teachers, 26 students, and my favorite,Louis, the yard teacher. The stories are interesting, weird, and funny. If you do not like that it's o.k ,but you don't know what you are missing. This book was inspired by my teacher in Reading. Thank you
