Summary: Buy it and save it for a bad day.
Review: "In the Eye of the Storm" is a look at what Lucado calls the hardest day in Jesus' life. Like many of Lucado's books, the style is more light devotional than heavy theology. Combining Biblical passages with modern-day examples, Lucado demonstrates that Jesus experienced the gamut of human emotion and thus knows how we feel during our roughest times.

I began reading the book on what had been an awful day for me, and I wound up reading the entire thing before the day ended. One story in particular, concerning a villager and his "wait and see" approach to life, has been a comfort to me ever since I read it. For anyone who needs a lift on a bad day, this book earns a hearty recommendation from me.

Summary: "The Choice"(p235) is a great witnessing tool!
Review: "The Choice" vividly portrays to believers and non-believers alike why does God allow men to choose. I was touched by this story. Just like this one, all other stories and life examles in this book have great spiritual lessons. These lessons have been deepening my understanding of God, which in tern, gave me something to praise him about during my daily morning devotions to him. I highly recommend this book.

Summary: We can know He also knows
Review: here is the best work from a wordsmith of the highest rank. God has used max to show us that when, not if, "storms" come into our lives, there is a Savior who hurts along with us, relating His experience with ours. we are able to see along with max how a real Jesus dealt with real issues. storms that seem like they will destroy. we are able to see that the confidence He had can be ours also. we can find a calmness inside the middle of the storm, its eye. we are able to see a picture of a God who is bigger than the "storm" over it, seeing that we grow in ways we never dreamed and learn to trust in Him through it all. in the end, peace...that His children are safe and He is in total control. i have a standing promise... if you buy this book and do not like it... i will buy it from you. it is that powerful! Summary: Life changing, motivating to get you through life's stuggles
Review: I read this book recently after the death of a very close uncle. I was a dark time of my life, and Max Lucado helped me to realize that Christ faced such a day in his life. I have never read such simplistic chapters with such profound meaning. Since that time, I have given over 10 copies of this book away. Those poeople incluse various friends, co-workers, and family members who are going through difficult times such as a death, loss of job, or another one of life's many serious struggles.
