Rating: Summary: Top Rated Method Works Review: I bought Easy Speed French because I had been reading and hearing about the company's easy method for some time. First it was the article in Men's Health Magazine rating Language Dynamics courses top alongside national leaders in the industry like Pimsleur and Rosetta Stone. Then I heard from people who had actually tried these courses and were thrilled with the results they were getting. Finally, after seeing and hearing so much positive feedback on the method and being on a shoestring budget, I decided to try the economical 'Easy Speedy French'. Now I see why everyone is so excited about this method. It's like you're not even practicing it's so easy. I began speaking basic French within the first 15 minutes listening to the tapes.
Rating: Summary: Don't do it if you're traveling to a French speaking area Review: It might be OK for a jumpstart on learning French if you have a lot of time to learn it. But we were traveling to France and even though I didn't expect to learn much in the 3 weeks we had to prepare, these tape were of little use. The phrases they use as examples are not very helpful. They teach phrases like "how old are you?", "I like to swim.", "I want to walk." "I'm going to work on the computer." None of which were very useful on our trip. In contrast, when we traveled to Mexico we bought other tapes that, in the same time period, taught us to say things that were useful. Easy Speedy French 1 should have taught similar phrases like: "How much does this cost," "Where is the bathroom," "May I have the check," "Excuse me," "Where is the train station?" "I only speak a little French," "I'm sorry, I only understand a little French," and a whole host of other phrases that come in handy as a tourist. Just as a note to those traveling to Paris: Don't believe the stereotype. Even though the only useful phrases we got from these tapes were "Hello," "I don't speak French," and "Do you speak English?" Everyone in Paris was tolerant of our inability to speak French. As long as you say "Boun Jour/Sior" and ask "Parle Vou Anglais?" Those who do speak English (almost everyone we encountered in 10 days of traveling ALL OVER Paris) will be exuberant in their willingness to help you. Have a good trip
Rating: Summary: Real Communication, Really Fast Review: Language Dynamics courses are the only courses I know of that are truly dedicated to effective and immediate communication in the target language. Academic courses often reflect the literary interests of professors, many of whom never had the experience of learning the target language as a second language. With these courses, you can hit the streets after every lesson knowing you can say more than you could yesterday.
Rating: Summary: Great Travel Course Passed the Test Review: My girlfriend and I bought Easy Speedy French as a way of learning to speak and understand survival level French before going to Nice a few weeks ago. The course was put through the severest of tests with us as a couple. Neither of us ever studied a foreign language and neither of us knew any French other than 'crepe' and 'merci'. From these humble beginnings we rose to the occasion and were aided immensely by both the method and the content of Easy Speedy French. It was both easy and speedy as the success of our trip will attest. We would have been lost without it.
Rating: Summary: I NEVER THOUGH FRENCH WOULD BE SO EASY TO LEARN! Review: This is the best audio cassette language course I have ever used. The lessons are easy to understand and the progressions from one lesson to the next flows logically. The explanations of the grammar and the pronunciations are clear and easy to understand. I never thought French would be so easy to learn. My husband and I are touring France and Italy in August and I was so impressed with Flash French that I have ordered Speaking Pain Free Italian by Language Dynamics as well.

Rating: Summary: Made in someone's garage? Review: This learning system is extraordinarily unprofessional! Not only is it practically non-scripted, but the french pronunciation goes by so quickly, it's difficult to repeat it (even though the ... narrator continually urges: "Make Sure you're repeating this, Listener"). Comes with two tapes and xeroxed pages stapled together. ...
