Summary: A wealth of knowledge
Review: How could I know that finishing this book would coincide with a polarity session that showed me as more balanced then I've ever been. Is this book going to show every women the way to a more meaningful life, probably not, most will be too scared and too much in denial to even attempt some of her suggestions. Citing magnificent quotes that will knock you socks off, Sarah grabs these ideas and runs with them, giving us a chance to understand why we sometimes say to ourselves,"I deserve better than this". Will this book boot you out of your comfort zone? You betcha! So read it, release it, or find redemption and move on to your own version of "something more".

Summary: This book changed my life.
Review: I loved Simple Abundance. It was a great wat to refocus ones life. This book however went well beyond it & changed my life. Follow the steps & don't force it. You will end up knowing more about yourself in the end.

Summary: Very disappointing follow-up book
Review: I liked "Simple Abundance" so much that I suppose I was bound to find this one somewhat disappointing. But I didn't expect it to be SO completely different in tone and timbre from "Simple Abundance." In fact, "Something More" seemed to contradict the comforting message of the first -- which was to find peace and contentment in the things you have. Like many women, I looked to Ban Breathnach as a role model -- as a woman who put the "art" back into the domestic arts. She gave both the career woman and stay-at-home mother permission to enjoy creating home and family ties; to take pride in building a family life of beauty and grace.

Then along comes "Something More," and the sad and rather surprising stories of the author's divorce and new life as a now-free-to-go-her-own-way single parent. For some reason, this hit me as a slam to the warmth and coziness she artfully created in the first book -- and I felt disturbed, maybe even cheated. Worse yet, the second book tarnished the shine of the first for me, or rather, showed me that the author's "Simple Abundance" wasn't quite so simple or so abundant.

I hate to add my own to the other voices expressing such disappointment -- as the author is a fine writer -- but there you have it.

Summary: A terrfic sequel to Simple Abundance
Review: Sarah's book is very helpful. It is like she wrote it for me. I don't think it is for everyone but it has helped me. It makes you think about your past, present, and future. Love the book!

Summary: Left me looking for something more
Review: This book personally summoned me at the airport bookstore. As I began reading on the plane, I felt I was ready for my archelogical dig. Good concept, but it never went anywhere. I have an envelope full of pictures, what do I do with them??? Breathnach truly loves the written word, but too much of the book is reciting others works, without much original fodder. For instance, I read Black and Blue, it was quoted much to extensively. If books like this are calling out to you, try The Invitation, by Oriah Mountain Dreamer.

Summary: A NICE ENCORE
Review: Simple Abundance changed my life in many positive ways. Something More, while not as good as her first book, helped me to appreciate my value and leave a relationship that was not good for my soul. And for that, I am grateful

Summary: A BAD SEQUEL
Review: What happened to gratitude? Joy? Sadly, this book is full of anger, resentment, revenge and sadness. It is the OPPOSITE of Simple Abundance, which I LOVED. The author's divorce seems to have left her bitter and angry. Perhaps she should have healed before setting pen to paper.

Summary: A Beautiful Book of Self Awareness
Review: This book is a wonderful resource for me. The author incorporates knowledge from many different sources...it's spiritually refreshing. I also read and LOVED Simple Abundance. In Something More, Sara gives some wonderful exercises which bring much of what we ignore daily into a conscious awareness. This book gave me more tools to apply in my realization of who I am and what I truly want to leave in this life. I recommend it to any woman who is consciously living her path in life, and would appreciate ideas on how to understand herself and her experiences better. As with any book, there are some issues which don't pertain to me, but much of it is applicable to any human experience. Blessings, Tiffany

Summary: Very disappointing
Review: After Sarah's first book I expected something wonderful here, but was very disappointed. All of the peace and acceptance that the first book propels you to seek are missing here. Sarah seems too angry about her divorce to see straight. And when she tells the story about the married friend who was having an affair and told her about his mixed feelings she advised him (as if anyone should tell others what to do about these matters) that he MUST divorce his wife for her own good! Spare me friends like her!

Summary: Something Less
Review: I loved Simple Abundance and have integrated many of its insights and practices, such as the gratitude journal, into my daily life. In Something More, Ban Breathnach has repudiated so much of what she allegedly espoused before. Even the exercises and collages seem perfunctory here. This book seems to be her revenge for a sad and cold marriage. I wish her luck in her new life and with her dream man but she'll need something more than this book to help her find it.
