Summary: Title is misleading, but still a great audiobook.
Review: Although this tape offers a wonderful, humorous, and enlightening view of life and death, the title is misleading. I found myself wondering as I was listening--"when is she going to get to the part where she talks about the specifics, for example, like a meditation she does, or what it is that she has done to open herself up completely to her own psychic powers...?" Don't get me wrong, this tape is excellent and it offers a beautifully witty way of looking at the absurdity of human existence, and still having a sense of humor. I love Sylvia Browne and hope she will write more, because this audiobook felt like an introduction, a sample, a precursor to something that she might publish in the near future. So if you are looking for a specific guide on how to make contact with your lost loved ones, this may not fill your need as expected, but it will leave you feeling good and with a smile amidst the sorrow of loss. I only gave it a 9 because the title seems to get ahead of what the subject matter is.

Review: I am confused! What was Sylvia trying to say? Because, she surely was NOT trying to help anyone get in touch with the other side. Perhaps Sylvia really DOESN'T know how to do this. Hey Sylvia, light a candle, dear. If anyone really wants guidance on this subject, find it somewhere else. Try Robert Monroe or Jane Roberts.

Summary: Does not deliver what it promises
Review: I have enjoyed other works by Sylvia Browne but this one just did not deliver what it promised. There is little useful information here on developing psychic abilities. For those who are interested I would recommended the books by Sonia Choquette or by Penny Pierce on psychic development or by Anthony Louis on expanding intuition through the Tarot. But I would not recommend this particular title by Sylvia Browne if you want to develop your psychic powers.

Review: I have read, and followed sylvia,reliously, she has been a shining star, in my dark,hours! But as the last review,I see dollars,in Sylvias eyes, not the ones who really need her! Readings for 700,00 dollars? and trips with her for thousands???? only the rich can do that!and only TV shows!Shes a great person, but not helping the ones ,who really need help! so much for the rich, people again! She should have a contest every month, to give a poor person, a reading for free! God, gave to the poor,and never got a face lift!

Summary: Making Contact with the other side
Review: I haven't read this book and don't really need to. I have had the destinct pleasure of knowing Ms. Browne long before she became famous. I spent time in her home and know firsthand that she is indeed carrying (I won't say a God given) but I will say a given psychic ability. During this time in my life I was not a Christian but I had a lot of questions and curiosities. So I was intrigued by her. I am now a strong believer in God, Christ and heaven. And as much as I believe in the existence of God and goodness, I also believe in the existence of evil. I don't believe that evil shows its face by hitting you over the head (you know that head spinning, earth opening up, Hollywood version of evil) but works its way slowly and convincingly into your soul. Even way back then, when I stood in her house, I knew there was something innately wrong at the root of the soul of this woman. She preaches about God and heaven, but you would have to be absolutely blind not to see that she worships only one God, and that God is the almighty dollar. You can continue to contribute to her empire and to her "church", but I can honestly tell you that all she charges you for already exists in your heart.

Review: I love Sylvia Browne, and couldn't wait to listen to her two-tape set. Unfortunately, I could not have been more disappointed! The description says "Sylvia Browne shows you how to contact your spirit guides"...NOT TRUE; "how to get in touch with your spiritual self"...NOT TRUE; "how opening to your angels can help you heal psychic wounds and conquer your fears"...NOT TRUE; "how to facilitate contact with a loved one who has passed on"...NOT TRUE!!! These tapes don't really even touch on these subjects. This is an entertaining tape of Sylvia's quirky sense of humor, but it does not help you with anything!!! VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Instead I felt a joyous feeling inside, something I have needed since losing my Grandmother 4 years ago. This tape let me know that it really is ok to still be greiving, but it also helped me to start healing the hurt and emptyness in my heart. Since I am intuitive and have channeled for several spirits, I knew that my Grandmother has always been with me, but now I understand the "how" since Sylvia describes the spirit plane. Thank you Sylvia Browne for sharing your inspirational insights into the spirit world and for nudging me from my deep grief and depression and toward the living world again.
