Rating: Summary: Move over "Born In" trilogy Review: Inner Harbor is another of Roberts' greats, but in this series my favorite still remains Rising Tide - Ethan's story. Individually, or as a series, the Quinn boys' stories are great reads. The seriousness of this trilogy is not lost to this reader. Underneath the sexy and romantic, the issues of child abuse are very real and sobering. Very well done.
Rating: Summary: a favorable review Review: Like most of Nora Roberts romances this is a good one. She completes the triology of the Quinn brothers very nicely and thriugh out the book helps to build your concern for the youngest and understanding for the other brothers. I recommand this book to anyone looking for a good short read.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Finish! Review: I think that Nora really out did herself with the Quinn trilogy. What a wonderful conclusion to an expertly written story. The characters and landscape that she wrote about were so clearly described that one could almost feel that they were looking at a canvass and not a book. I just loved the compelling stories of all the Quinn brothers and especially the way she handled the "secret" through the first two books and brilliantly exposed it in the final book. It's a must read for all the Nora fans out there!
Rating: Summary: Equally satisfying as the first two. Roberts at her best. Review: I was more impressed with Roberts' writing than with the two characters, but the book was extremely satisfying. Roberts' reaches in and tugs at your heart in the recognition scene. The relationship between the three brothers continues to entertain me -- I am just sorry the series is over. Philip and Sybill are a very compelling pair and very believable. Their sizzle is a tad less than Cam and Anna, but right on par with Ethan and Grace. I read this book practically in one sitting -- the anticipation kept me turning pages. Good books come in spurts -- this trilogy, like her Ice series, are dynamite.
Rating: Summary: Nora's done it again Review: This is a fabulous ending to the trilogy and also a very touching one.I think Phillip is the most interesting of the 3 brothers and even though I might have prefered more insight into his character, a lot of the book deals with settling the issue of seth's adoption with several heart-felt scenes between him and his aunt who (surprise surprise) is also Phillip's love interest.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Conclusion of a Great Trilogy Review: Nora Roberts once again tells the story of a family in a trilogy series that never gets dull! Each book is of the same caliber in writing and story telling as the one before it - humor, drama, a consistent issue throughout all three books that leaves you wanting to know and finally in the third book of the trilogy it is answered. Great book as is the first two. Great going Nora!
Rating: Summary: A satisfying end to a great trilogy! Review: Once again, Nora Roberts has given us a great trio of stories. "Inner Harbor" was not the best story of the three-but it did wrap up all the loose ends in a way that suited the characters. My favorite of this trilogy was the second, but each book made me laugh and cry and I loved each one. Thanks again, Nora!
Rating: Summary: Excellent conclusion to a great trilogy Review: Inner Harbor is truly an excellent conclusion to the great Chesapeake Bay trilogy. Nora Roberts ties the trilogy together by bringing in the focal point of the crisis, Seth's mother. She throws some surprises with the usual finesse that classic Nora Roberts. Excellent book.
Rating: Summary: fitting end to the Quinn family saga. Review: Ms. Roberts brings the saga of the Quinn brothers to a satisfying end. All the loose threads are tied up. The legacy that Professor and Dr. Quinn gave to their adopted sons comes full circle. You must read the other 2 books first!! This is the first of her trilogies that need the other books to be read in order to make sense.
Rating: Summary: Wow! Review: Once more, Nora has created magic--with an absolutely FABulous conclusion to the Quinn brothers' trilogy. All the loose ends are tied together in INNER HARBOR--in a seemingless effortless effort by Nora (which is a testament to her talents as a story-teller)--to the point where you, as the reader, will say, "But of course! This makes perfect sense!" INNER HARBOR, of course, is Phillip's story. He is the polished Quinn brother--resident of Baltimore's Inner Harbor, fancy suits, and wine connoisseur extraordinare ... When he meets Dr. Sybil Griffin, love and betrayal are the farthest things from his mind. Things change, however, rapidly. As only Nora can do. In some respects, Sybil is Nora's toughest heroinne to like. She has the best of intentions--and will attempt to achieve her goals--at seemingly any and all expense. When the tables get turned, I wondered how--even if-- Nora could redeem Sybil--especially in the eyes of Phillip and Seth. This is a story that will consume you. Once you sit down with it, you won't want to put it down. Be sure to block off plenty of time to read it--or be prepared to lose some sleep. It is a story of laughs ... of tears ... of horrors ... of hope ... of love ... of trust. But mostly--it is a story of the wonder and beauty of family. It is--simply--Nora at her best.
