Summary: Am I the only one who's read this book more than 10x?
Review: A timeless classic.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: 5 stars isn't enough!
Review: This is one of the most interesting spins on the Christ story that I could imagine. It harkens to other great literature. Does anyone remember a book called Stanger in a Strange Land? This book is that good and more. I have read it at least 3 times and plan to read it again and again. I will read it to my children. My favorite book next to the Bible.

Summary: A simple but profound book
Review: This book is probably my all-time inspirational favorite. I first read this book in 1978 while in college. I have reread the book at least three more times, and each time I come away with a new, fresh perspective on life. I've loaned this book out many times and lose track of it, so I end up buying another one. I came to amazon.com to look up buying the hardcover edition so I would be sure to have one for my permanent collection. I would recommend this book to anyone, especially anyone at a crossroad. In fact, it may be time for me to read this book again!

Summary: Fantastic Book
Review: I have read this book many times. It always has a new effect on me with each reading. I have given many copies away with the following written in the cover "A gift of Illusions, for illusions can not be lent or borrowed, but given from the heart".

Summary: No matter what you believe in...
Review: This is the one book that can change your philosophy of life. It shows the reader exactly how he/she can change their outlook on everything that goes on around them and their lives. The little sayings are catchy ( I particurlarly like the one about your true family being, not of blood, but of joy and spirituality) that will make you think of ways of improving your own life.

I highly recommend this book to EVERYONE, not just those who are going through a rough time, but EVERYONE.

Summary: spiritual
Review: I have to recommend this book to everyone. The plotline behind the story isn't that great, and it is a simply written book, but it is very spiritual and full of the truths of life. Now that I have read it, in a week or so I will read it again, this time with a highlighter. This book will be placed on the same shelf as my bible, koran, and other religious and spiritual books. This book carries within it the simple truths to life. It can make a difference. It impacted me greatly, now I hope you read it so that you may be changed as well.

Summary: This book has had the most effect on my belief system!!
Review: For my money, this is the best book I've read in my short 41 years!! Sure, the plot is simple, not "factual", as another reviewer said, and short, bvt the story says so much. It may not be realistic, but I'll buy the book from you if you don't like it!!

Summary: This book could change the way you look at life.
Review: Richard Bach is a great author. He has an eloquent way of expressing profound truths in a simple story. This book could change your life, or at least the way you view your existance. A good book on many levels. As a story it is very intertaining. The characters are very real. The more you think and ponder the book the more Richard Bach's personal life philosophy touches your soul. A must for every library.

Summary: Illusions is a gift of freedom, don't pass it up.
Review: Reading Illusions was like turning the pages of my soul, opening up, and finally discovering my freedom and power. The book illuminated me and I grew more in that few hours than I had in all the rest of my life. Suddenly I realized, I had the answers all along, I just needed some validation. I then read Jonathan Livingston Seagull and just wept. It was the happiest moment of my life. Richard Bach, thank you!!! I once met Richard at a book signing. I say I met him, because he touched everyone personally. His presence filled the huge room. If I had met him just after reading it, I might have clung to him like those in the book who needed The Master to tell them what was expected of them. I'm glad I got to meet him after years of practicing what I had learned and hearing my own voice. I met him as an equal and it was glorious :)

Summary: Thanks Richard !
Review: I love this book, and have given away many copies. ( The reason I'm on Amazon.com is to buy more copies to give away.) Thank you, Richard Bach. I only wish that someone would make this into a movie, so that those who refuse to read could also get the message.
