Summary: A Little Gem
Review: This is a heart-wrenching, mind-boggling story that unexpectedly reveals the deeper essence of Ro. (Read the book. You'll want to call her "Ro.") Ro tells a potentially embarrassing story that in itself is amazing. In its telling: astounding. If you have a heart, you'll understand why she did what she did. OK, so maybe you'll be tempted to laugh at her gullibility. Go ahead. She laughs at it too. But at the heart of her tale are profound messages of love, trust, personal demons, and the responsibilities we have for one another. No, it's not preachy...or overtly comic...it's simply honest and ultimately very touching.

Summary: Very poignant
Review: I loved this book in a very profound way, but I must admit that it is not for everyone. Normally, if I love a book as much as this one, I will pass it on to everyone I know; however, in this case I will be very cautious, because a lot of people will simply not "get it". I apologize if this review is not very helpful, but I do not want to spoil anything this book if you are inclined to read it. This is not an expose, but reather a lesson of compassion, oopen-mindedness, and understanding, and an unlikely friendship evolves. There are many factors that Rosie had to come to terms with (such as obsessive niceness), and she describes events with a shocking candor. I was able to relate with many of her personal insights. I hope that everyone who reads this will feel the same way I feel. Highly recommended to open-minded, compassionate readers

Summary: Enlightened, Entertained, and Moved
Review: Rosie writes like she talks. I felt like a good friend was telling me about tragic events in their life and I cared. She pulled me into her life and showed me just how one could become so involved in someone else's crisis that they ignore all reason. As Rosie reveals more of her true self I find I enjoy her work even more. Much better than I expected!

Summary: Not what I expected
Review: Although this was not what I expected, and it was a bit on the scary side, I found that I could not put it down. It was intriguing and gave a look into the real Ro O'Donnell not the rather "on" performer we see every day on TV. It also explains why she is leaving her show. While not a Nobel prize winning book I think this book takes the reader to the heart of realtionships between parents and their children and the meaning of loss to one woman in particular. Definitely worth the read and, in my opinion, a keeper. Way to go RO!

Summary: WELL............................
Review: Back when she was just a child she hid out in the TV shows of the time. Rosie loves alternate reality. A reality "Other" than her own. Now she takes refuge in another persons reality, and when the story changes like any good TV junkie she adapts and keeps on watching. Except now, Rosie gets to participate, join in on the show, unlike the limits of her fiction addiction in the early days. This story is of a progessed addiction to alternate reality, anything other than her own. She is taking big chances now to keep herself stimulated. Rosie has created her own version of Reality "TV". She reaches and reaches to draw parallels and "find" things that are the same. Rosie to me seeks comfort, something to calm the screaming little girl who wants her Mom. The death of a parent is not a problem to be solved, it is a moment by moment ache for your lifetime. Poor Melissa is a distraction Rosie, not a cure. Don't Misuse people in order to calm the storm.

Summary: The best book I have EVER read!!!
Review: This was by far the best book I have ever read.. I bought the book just yesterday afternoon and I finished early today and I have two children 5 and under... I just could not put the book down and yet I didn't want it to end. I have so much respect for Rosie O'Donnell (always have) and now I have even more!! I hope she writes again because to add to her many talents now she can add GREAT WRITER!! Thank you Rosie for such a good book and such honesty.

Summary: I was hooked!
Review: From the moment I opened this book, I was hooked. I have three children ages 4,2,and 6months, so reading a book is a luxury I usually don't have. However, I could not put this book down. It is such a touching story that really makes you take a look at yourself. It once again proved to me what a gem Rosie is. What a lady!

Summary: A Different Sort of Rosie
Review: People expecting Rosie's book to be a revealing tell-all with tales of a troubled childhood,her relationships with women, and her climb to the top will be sadly disappointed. Instead, falling under the "truth is stranger than fiction" heading she centers her book on an unlikely and unexpected friendship that manages to shake her world more than she could ever anticipate.
Orginally she meets Stacie and Barb through an adoption agency she works with. Stacie is a fourteen year old girl who is pregnant from rape. Barb is her concerned mother.What transpires between the three of them is the story. Interspersed are moving reflections on her own Mother, Father, and children as she tries to grapple with what is real,what is false, what is safe, and most importantly, what is love... "Find Me" is not what you'd expect to find. That in itself is a wonderful discovery.

Summary: I hated to see it end!!
Review: This was such an amazing and powerful book. I could not put it down, and in fact, had to read it again. Rosie is such a giving person, and her honesty about herself and what she learn along the way, blows me away. She is not afraid to be herself, and lucky for us, share who she is. I hope she writes another book again soon. This book really is a gift!

Review: This is an amazing book, throroughly and cleary written. Rosie writes truthfully and simply, yet her words wind together to create a rather intriguing and intricate style. It is a wonderful read.
