Summary: A rare romance reader
Review: Since I never read romance and don't like it when I do, I read this book only because my mom gave it to me. I rolled my eyes, and tried to make the best of it. How wrong I was!! I was addicted to this book from the moment I started reading it. I couldn't wait to get back to it, which we all know is the sign of a great book. I really thought from the picture on the cover it would a typical romance novel but I couldn't believe all the twists and turns the plot took. I would think I had it figured out then everything would change. It was amazing! This is my first book by this author and I don't know if I'll be able to read another for fear of being disappointed. The characters became my friends, the writing was more than acceptable- not too flowery but not too efficient. I would say this is an action, romance, and setting story. Overall, a book I will read over and over again through the years.

Summary: Poorly written and only averagely sensible.
Review: The plot is nonsensical in the way that certain aspects never fully add up, as is the problem with most time-travel ideas. Rather than give any of the story away, I will leave it as this: I expected more. Looking passed the idea itself, Jude Deveraux has a flair for poor writing. Her sentences seem forced and simple, those of a student slopping together an overdue book report. However, it is a book I didn't mind taking the time to read. It's not awful, but it's not rememberable either.

Summary: This book left me with mixed feelings.
Review: This book is beautifully written and the characters are incredible. But I was extremely disappointed with the way it turned out. Deveraux spent about half of the book on Kady's time spent in the 1800's with Cole. She talked about the attraction between them and you could not help but fall in love with him. Then she snatches you back to the present and she ends up falling in love with one of Cole's descendants. He was a wonderful hero too, but there just was not room in this book for two heros. Still, if that sort of thing does not bother you, it is a wonderful book. I just got too attached to the idea of Cole and Kady getting together.

Summary: Pretty good...
Review: It really was a pretty good book. 'Legend' was somewhat different than previous time-travels I've read. Our herione spent just about as much time in the present as in the past. It also was unusual to have a herione that felt that much for more than one guy. (you'll have to read it though to see which one she ends up with!) The story line was definitely unusual, and therefore, I enjoyed it for that reason. Also, this is one of those books where you can really see the herione "grow". She started out a little dippy (& blind!) but she really did grow up & I enjoyed that.

Summary: This Story Is Legendary... Deveraux Outdid Herself!
Review: An aw-inspiring tale of fate, love, and growth, "Legend" is truly remarkable. If the book was only half of the story told, it would still be delighfully satisfying. But just when you can't imagine how this story could possibly fill the other half of the pages, Deveraux reveals a side of romance writing that I never thought possible. I don't want to divulge too much, for fear of someone being dissapointed by any revealed information. But imagine for a moment the idea of a great love story that ends and is reborn, just as fresh and tantalizing as before but with greater promise. It's a great book to have for those moments when you need to fill time, or just sit and become entrapped in.

Summary: A good read
Review: Jude Deveraux is my favorite romance writer. I try to read everything she puts out although I am personally partial to those stories that involve time travel. This is a good book and while I do not like it as much as some of her others, I do recommend it.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Too many heros
Review: I liked the beginning of the book. I liked both the heros, Cole and Tariq but it just doesn't work for a romance novel to have 2 heros unless there are also 2 heroines. I like the time travel twist but not the bit where you suddenly find out that the adult Cole was just a figment of his own imagination. I think you could have either a time travel romance novel or a ghost story romance novel but I'm not sure about mixing both of them and then killing off your hero half way through the book to replace him with another.

Summary: Could have been a riveting 1000 page novel
Review: This story has a good premise, and with some character development and plot development, this has the potential of being a really good book. There are some really good ideas, and some really good plotlines, but they need to be developed. Also the book was really anticlimatic.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very Riveting!
Review: I just wanted to say that this book kept me on the edge of my seat with all of its twists and turns. Kady Long is someone girls and women dream to be. She is a very courageous woman to stand up to some really wonderful men like Cole, Gregory and Tarik. But to be able to be treated like Cole treated her, wouldn't that be wonderful if all men did that?!?
