Summary: Just as great as the first 2!
Review: This is a story that is more about human relations than the others. Daja has been cast away from her people, yet she is given a choice in this book... Save them or not. This book is just as satisfying as the others. Two thumbs up to Tamora Pierce!

Summary: Not too impressed so far...
Review: This is my first book from this author, and I don't know why, but I just didn't like it. I thought that there really wasn't a good "struggle" in this book, the writing was not as descriptive as other authors' writing, and the characters did not seem as developed. Just an opinion.

  Summary: Daja's Book
Review: This is one of Pierce's most interesting stories. Daja is a student who is learning her craft even though she is a Trangshi. All four of the students are traveling around and learning more. Out of the four, this one is my favorite.

  Summary: The best yet!!
Review: This really is shaping up to become a great series! Definitelly improving over the last two as far as plot and exciting things going on, this one also builds on each of the characters, while Daja takes center stage. This book picks up with the four kids (with their respective teachers) on a journey to Goldridge Valley, where severe drought has caused rampant wildfires and many other problems. While practicing her metelwork, Daja (with accidental help from Sandry, Tris, and Briar) creates a bizarre vine, made of 'living metel' that only pure magic can shape properly. Daja's former people, the Traders, try to buy it from her, even though now they consider her Trangshi, a person so full of bad luck that no decent person can ever speak to her or deal with her. Even so, being around them again reminds Daja of the family she lost, and makes her long for the way things used to be, and soon she'll have to make a choice; return with the Traders and give up the metelworking she loves, or remain with her beloved teacher and friends, and dispare of ever being a true Trader again. Anyway, this book has charm, humour, warmth, and excitement. For anyone looking for a great fantasy read, this book is the answer.

  Summary: Mostly disappointing
Review: Well, I must say that of all the "Circle of Magic" series that I've read, "Daja's book" was the most disappointing. There wasn't enough plot and action to make the book one that a reader could not put down, unlike her previous 2 books. Those were simply marvellous, and mst importantly, got me hooked onto her books. Still, even though this latest book of Tamora's is not up to her standard, it is still not bad, if you don't compare too much. Anyway, why is everyone so sure that Briar and Sandra will end up together? I love these two characters and will also support their romance if there is one, but how did anyone glimpse this information in "Daja's book"? I couldn't find a clue to it. Anyway, really waiting fervently for her forth book "Briar's book"! Hope it will come soon!!

Summary: Highly dissapointing Tamora Pierce volume
Review: Where was the action? Suspense? Dangers? Love? Nowhere in this book that's what I know for sure.
