Rating: Summary: AN EPIC STORY FOR THE FANTASY READER! Review: This is a great tale for the REDWALL readers that like the stories from a Redwall present being or a past happening, one such story as this is THE LEGEND OF LUKE. I am devoted to reading any books, particularly fantasy, and this is without a single doubt, one of the best series of fantasy/adventure stories. The book was so great because it had wonderful descriptions. I also enjoyed the battles and such. The only bad thing about the story I didn't like(which oobviously wasn't enough to take of a whole star) was that almost every bluehorde captain and patrol soldier was an airhead. otherwise the story was superb. The author, Brian Jacques, is a wonderful writer and and shows his talent by writing these tales, which should of won an award of every possibility. THIS BOOK IS HIGHLY RECOMENED FOR ABOUT ANY AGE OVER TEN!
Rating: Summary: It is a great book. Review: Lord Brocktree is a fun book to read and I really enjoyed it. My favorite part of the book was the battle that took place at the end of the book.
Rating: Summary: A definite must read book! Review: Lord Brocktree of Brockhall is one of the best books that I have read. It has everything in it -- suspense, action, and mystery. This book also has a lot of unexpected twists. The book is so descriptive. For example when they talk about the feasts that they have, my mouth waters. They use a lot of poems and songs, which only a Brian Jacques could come up with. The various creatures that the band of characters comes across are great. The different animals in this book also have the traits that the animals themselves have. A badger is big, a mouse is usually very kind, the rats are vicious and evil (most of the time) and lets not mention that all of the different animals have all different accents. The mole-talk is the most confusing I think, but after you read the book for a while you will get the hang of understanding it. The action is great in this book, with all of the battles and the challenges. The battles are very descriptive, and you can practically feel Brocktree's great battle sword smash against the vermin's weapons. At the court of King Bucko Bigbones and Dotti challenges him. You may think it's only a battle, but it's not. When Brocktree begins his voyage to Ugnatt Trunn's blue hordes after they take over the badger lord's mountain Salamanstron you can tell that there will be a lot of action. Ugnatt Trunn can see a badger coming, but he doesn't know who it is. When they meet face to face is thrilling, exciting, and suspenseful. This is the best book that I have read, because of the descriptions. This book actually makes you feel into the story, not just reading it. There are also animals that I like. I can see how the wider virtue of characters all have different traits, and they are good a various things. Over all it has to be the action that hooks me into the story, I like books with twists and turns unexpectedly.
Rating: Summary: Not the best, but still very good. Review: Lord Brocktree is a great novel by Brian Jacques. Its definately not his best because it gets a little slow in a couple parts, but those slow parts are made up by the really exciting ones like the three competitive events between Dotti and King Bucko Bigbones. All in all, its an excellent book that goes along pretty well with the other twelve novels. Can't wait for the Taggerung!
Rating: Summary: One of his best works yet Review: This story was amazing. It never fails to amaze me how creative and detailed Brian Jacques is! This book was so addictive that I couldn't put it down! I highly reccommend it to all of my friends, which have always enjoyed his works!
Rating: Summary: GREATEST REDWALL EVER, TO SAY THE LEAST!!!!! Review: This Redwall is great! Some people go against it cause they say the formula is always the same but even if it is then by George it is a good one! You will not be able to stop reading it. This book is about a badger lord and his friends questing for the Fire Mountain, Salamandastron, which has been recently conquered by Ungatt Trunn, older brother of Lord Verdagua Greeneyes from the Redwall book Mossflower.
Rating: Summary: Big Badger vs. Blue Vermin and Ambitious Wildcat Review: What would you say if you were face to face with thousands upon thousands of weasels and stoats dyed blue? What if you were a hare and all you could think about in times of trauma was your stomach? What if you saw a badger tromping over miles and miles of forest and field with a double-hilted sword? Lord Brocktree gives you the full effect of all these situations. A wonderful adventure story, this is one of Brian Jacques's best! If you have read any of the Redwall books(assuming you have, if you searched this book), you will expect comedy from the hares, moles, and other logical yet silly creatures. The hare sense of humor is at its best in Lord Brocktree. This book is about a badger lord seeking out Salamandastron to begin his reign there. On his quest, a chorus of hares, moles, hedgehogs, and otters join Brocktree in his quest for Salamandastron. But before Brocktree makes his home in the mountain, he must conquer the Blue Hordes and the self-proclaimed ruler of the world, Ungatt Trunn.
Rating: Summary: The Strong Survive Review: This is one those books only for those people who like wars. This is one of the best war books ever. They go against all odds and over come the evil war king Ugnatt Trunn. With the help of their friends.
Rating: Summary: Redwall strikes again with Lord Brocktree! Review: I have read and own all of the Redwall books. This was one of the best. I was excited when it came out and I really had fun reading it. There was plenty of action. Comedy was not left out. There's a fair amout of travel, but they visit some interesting places and meet some new characters. If you need a good book, this should be on your list!
Rating: Summary: Lord Brocktree exciting and interesting. Review: Lord Brocktree By:Brian Jacques A very exicting book for people with big imagination. For people with high reading levels like 5th and higher. I really suggest this book.
