Review: Having never read Kay Arthur before, I don't know if it's her common practice to draw so heavily from the Old Testament. But in the case of this book, a lot of the content seems to fall well on the "judgement" side (multiple excerpts about stoning people to death who have failed sexually, etc.), rather than the more grace-oriented side. The grace is there--mostly in the latter stages of the book--but you really have to read through a lot of boring and seemingly pointless retellings of OT sexual laws and stories. The counsel offered is mostly biblical and reasoned,... Her heart's in the right place...

Review: I found this book to be interesting and an in-depth study of sex as God made it. I think it relates more to a younger person just starting their adult life rather than an old married woman like me...

Summary: God Isn't Silent About Sex!
Review: I love this book. The christian community sometimes differs on this subject, if they want to discuss it at all. Kay's studies have a way of wiping the muck from our eyes to clearly see the Lord. This book is wonderful for anyone, married or single, teenagers (perhaps with parental guidance) to elderly. I particularly think this is a great book for sexual abuse survivors who may view the subject of sex through fracture glasses.

Review: Kay is the primary teacher of the inductive method of studying the Bible. This book helps you discover everything that the Bible has to say about sex. You will find what honors God and what dishonors God. It shows that God has designed us to enjoy sex but that it must be enjoyed within certain guidelines that God has established. This is great for couples preparing for marriage, and for those who have made mistakes and want to get back on track in this area of their lives.

Review: OH WOW!!! I bought this book as a reference to use for teaching my high-school bible study students about sex.... and ended up learning sooo much myself. Kay Arthur has a gift for explaining the Scripture in such a way that you realize.. this is what God says about this issue!! He means it for my good in spite of what my culture would tell me. Don't miss this beautiful explication of God's word as it relates to sexual intimacy. Your life will be better for having read this book.

Summary: A Great Ministry To All
Review: This wonderful book not only gives you very valid reasons for staying pure in a time when this is unheard of, it bases everything on the Bible and is an awesome interactive study in that respect as well. Here's the verse sighted at the end of the Chapter called "Consider the Cost". Jerusalem sinned greatly,
Therefore she has become an unclean thing.
All who honored her despise her
Because they have seen her nakedness;
Even she herself groans and turns away.
