Review: Nice suprise for a book issued in paperback. Not quite Robin Cook but close.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: well worth your time
Review: Scott weaves a beautiful tapestry of action, romance, and science into a tale no one should be allowed to miss. I highly recommend this novel if you enjoy michael creighton. Scott manages to incorporate cutting edge science with beautiful literary images using a concise illustrative tongue. DO NOT MISS OUT on this one!

Summary: wake me when it's over
Review: Thank goodness I borrowed this book from the library. If I wouldhave spent.. I would have cried. The book started with a hbang and heldmy interest. However once I passed the "fail Safe" zone thisbook went downhill very fast.Almost could be described as childish.Ithoroughly enjoy medical thrillers but this is no Hot Zone or theCobra Event. Readers BEWARE!!!!

Summary: A Cancer Cure Gone Bad
Review: The hook: a young man, a genius, racing across the country to save his girlfriend from cancer. The problem: his cure has gone bad and he is now a carrier. A mere touch from him causes the flesh of people to dissolve in seconds. Hard to believe, but then the effects of HIV and Ebola were probably hard to believe a few years ago. The author maintains the suspense throughout the story and makes the unbelievable at least interesting if not believable. A fast paced read, good for a few hours of entertainment.

Summary: Intriguing Book!
Review: This book was really good. Had a catcher in the rye feel to it; the hero was cocky but likable, the suspense impressive. I highly recommend this!

Summary: Good for a quick read.
Review: This is a good short book that I would say is good for a quick read, that is if you are into this genre of book.
The characters are not all that developed, but enough information is given to carry the story along.

The best way to describe this book would be to say that it is a light version of Richard Preston's "Cobra Event."

If you are looking for something that is a decent read for a vacation or to do while on a long car/plane ride, this is the perfect book for you.

Summary: A First Rate Thriller
Review: This is by far the best book I read in 2001. It was incredibly moving and taught me valuable life lessons. I would describe it as a fantasy thrill ride with a hint of Catcher in the Rye. I can't recommend it strongly enough! Keep your eye on Scott; this guy is going to be the emperor of the genre one of these days.

Summary: The Carrier
Review: This is the first of Holden Scotts's books that I have read. It was one of those books that I could not put down. I am aware of the ravages that strep a can do. The characters were good, however, I would like to see Dunton recieve his just cause at the end. I really wanted the book to go on another chapter or two, and not leave so much to my imagination.
