Summary: A Good Jumping Place To Learn How To Have A Happier Life
Review: As one of the walking wounded, with physical disabilities, chronic illnesses and a past history of different forms of abuse, I believe that this "book" would be a wonderful place to get started on one's journey into personal self-help and healing. I found Sylvia Browne's sense of humor to be delicious! She lets you know that it IS ok to laugh, cry and be angry because that is a part of life but that it should be done in a positive rather than negative way.

The tape's value lies in that you learn basics about Sylvia Browne as a person while ALSO learning a basic relaxation technique meant to calm, relieve stress and negativity through prayer and taking the time to meditate/relax in order for you to receive God's blessings and healing.

I started with "Tools For Life" before this purchase, hoping that this tape would expand upon the principals in the other tape series. While I learned more about Sylvia Browne, I had hoped for a little more foundational information. For this reason, my "rating" is a bit lower than it would have been had I started with this tape series.

Sylvia Browne is a lovely, caring person who devotes herself to helping others find the peace and faith she has found and applied to her life. God Bless and Love her! I know I do!

Summary: very entertaining
Review: Cell memory can be a very bland subject while disease is certainly no laughing matter. However, Sylvia Browne presents both in a humorous, entertaining fashion on a two-cassette tape set entitled HEALING YOUR BODY, MIND AND SOUL produced by the Hay House. Browne has made her living over a number of decades as a psychic and more recently as a talk show celebrity and lecturer. In all those years, one would expect that she has collected a good amount of stories, and it seems as though she presents most of them at this two-hour Learning Annex program in San Diego. In fact, after Side One of the first tape, I was beginning to think that her lecture was on digression rather than cell memory.

Nevertheless, Browne presents some very valid points. She purports the theory that individual cells have memory and register and retain feelings for a lifetime. However, a cell's lifetime is much shorter than our own. So what happens when a cell becomes extinct? Does it pass on its memory to progeny? How do cells interact to keep a subliminal memory alive and thus affect an illness? And, more important, how do we actually reprogram individual cells? Although Browne digresses a great deal, she does not digress into the scientific area at all. Her theories are primarily based on observations and accounts of family members, friends and clients as one might expect from a psychic.

Despite the emphasis on entertainment rather than substance, to her credit Browne does pose some inspiring wisdom to live by. To be covered by a blanket of spiritual love is far better than carrying the yoke of guilt. Forgiveness is essential to healing and maintaining both a healthy body and mind. And - my favorite from Browne's grandmother - within your weakness lies your strength sleeping. Browne also admits that some transgressions are far too serious for us to forgive. We must give them to God to be forgiven. Here she emphasizes that it is far more important to forgive ourselves for being human than to carry the guilt of not being able to forgive. On the second tape, Browne really digresses reflecting on such diverse topics as her clients' diseases, their past lives, her views of religion, and the afterlife. According to Browne, we have nothing to fear. The afterlife is sheer enjoyment. And you can bring along your pet if you like. They allow animals. Although valued mostly for its entertainment, the second tape does have a beneficial meditation, but most of it is the kind of thing you will find on the TV talk shows, tending toward sensationalism rather than solid substance.

Summary: Don't waste Your Time
Review: I don't think there is an original thought here. Sylvia is just a rip off of those who have gone before her, and she doesn't even do a good job of that.

Summary: very entertaining
Review: SORRY I DON'T AGREE WITH THE OTHER REVIEWS. SYLVIA MADE ME LAUGH AND SHE MADE ME CRY. IN OTHER WORDS I WAS ENTERTAINED - THIS IS THE REASON WE READ AND LISTEN TO THESE TAPES. SYLVIA IS REFRESHING. SHE ALWAYS LIFTS ME. SHE'S A BREATH OF FRESH AIR IN THIS STALE WORLD...

Summary: Don't waste your time or money on this casette
Review: The information she talked about did not say one thing about healing the body or reprogramming the mind. Even though I like S. Browne I feel she just ripped me off on this tape.

Summary: I too feel ripped off
Review: The title promises information about healing. The delivery is New Age blather and idiotic platitudes. I wish I had the author's gift for playing on the fears of the public and relieving them of their hard earned money. If I did, I'd be able to retire.
