Summary: Uncontrollable Weapons
Review: Guns in school are an all too common problem in America now a days. Give a Boy a Gun by Todd Strasser is a realistic fiction about two young teens, Gary and Brendan, who get constantly teased and taunted by jocks in Middletown High, until they hold their entire school hostage at a school dance. Entwined in the story are facts about gun control, guns in school, and other general facts about guns. This book has great character development, spectacular plot and plot twists, and well built suspense.
The character development is amazing, due to indirect characterization. They go into a lot of detail about every character's actions, responses, and facial expressions. They also use great direct characterization. Because the book uses views from multiple people, you see all their opinions of the different characters.
The book also has amazing plot and plot twists. The story is fascinating and will make you want to keep reading. Unexpected events keep happening, and just when you think you know what the ending will be, and how troubles will be solved, a fantastic turn of events changes your whole point of view of the story.
The suspense of the story is magnificent. It is well built, especially near the end. When reading it, you feel yourself scared for the characters in danger and anxious for the character that is getting his way.
With such fantastic character development, amazing plot and plot twists, and terrific suspense, this book is easily the best book I've ever read. My favorite part is near the end, where the boys are holding kids hostage, and my least favorite parts are whenever Gary and Brendan are teased or pushes around. You start to feel empathetic for the boys during the story, and while you read, you want the bullies to face misfortune and other dark fates. Any teenager in high school or even middle school who gets teased, tormented, or pushed around by a bully or anyone else should read this book. Also, any teen who has heard about or knows about guns in their school should read this.

Summary: Hardcore Page Turner.
Review: Are you lacking excitement in your lives? Do you need something to do in order to throw some thrill into your day? The book Give a Boy a Gun by Todd Strasser will do just that. This book was really good because it had a great writing style, it was suspenseful and the characteristics were so realistic. This book shows what horrible things can occur when you push someone to far.
The writing style from this book is so great because it was so unique. The story is written through the eyes of many people as if you were going up to each of them and asking them what happened to keep it intense the story from another person.
The story definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat. When I first picked up the book I read half way through without trying to. The story is so suspenseful you do not want to put it down. Even if you do not like reading you will want to end at a certain chapter, but the chapters all end in exciting parts. You keep saying to yourself," I'll just read one more."
The characters in this novel are beyond belief realistic. The main characters Brendan and Gary are the "punks" or people in high school that are not really popular. The book shows how kids, especially teenagers can make wrong choices or be corrupted by other mislead youth. All of these characters have personalities and they do change, just like how you could hang out with someone for a long time then they get on your nerves or begin to change into a different person than whom you were first hanging out with. You do not hang out with them as much after that. Anyone can change and this book shows the slow transition and how it could happen so easily.
This book was great and I highly recommend it to anyone who is in or graduated from high school. It shows the slow but dramatic change in people and places.

Summary: Give a boy a gun the best book ever
Review: Have you ever wanted to read a thrilling book with a lot of suspense? You won't be able to put the book down if you read give a Boy a gun by John Strasser. It is the best book ever. Three reasons why this book is great because it has a lot of cliffhangers, well-se characters, and a lot of action.

There are a lot of cliffhangers in this story. At the end of most chapters you see left with a cliffhanger that really confuses you and makes you keep on reading. In the story when the gym incident takes place you read about how someone gets shot and the next thing you know is that the chapter ends. A cliffhanger can really make the story interesting. It can prevent you from putting the book down. If there weren't any cliffhangers in a story it wouldn't be good.

The characters are very well set. The two main characters are Gary and Brendan. This story is about their lives and their suicides. It is basically a documentary because all of the people who have witnessed the incident tell the story from their perspective. The characters that tell the story hate Gary and Brendan or used to be very good friends with them. They all relive the incident and tell the story about it.

Finally the last reason is that there is a lot of action. At first the story starts kind of mild. It tells about how everything started and the early years before the suicide of Brendan and Gary. There is a lot of gun use. They tested bombs just to make sure that when they used them they worked the way they should.

Give a boy a gun is a great book it has plenty of action: a lot of cliffhangers, and the story is set up in an interesting way. I recommend this book to people who like books with a lot of action, especially books that involve guns and bombs. Read t his book and I'm sure it is the best book you have ever read.

Summary: Give a Boy a Gun
Review: I thought the book Give a Boy a Gun was a very interesting and very true to reality. I liked the book, but at the same time I thought some parts were hard to read about because of the reality and the hardships that Brenden and Gary had to go through. Such as being pushed around by the jocks and when the teachers never stopped the bulling. Give a boy a gun was about two high school students that were outcasts and always got picked on. After being bullied around by the jocks and the popular kids, Brenden and Gary went on revenge for all of the pain and suffering that they have gone through during their high school years. Over all, I liked the book because it gave me a new perspective about how horrible and hard some kids life can be. I would advise anyone to read it if they are having a hard time in school or like to read about hardships and school shootings. A very eye-opening story.
