Rating: Summary: I love this book! Review: One of the best works of Kat Martin. The story is very nice. From Gypsy camps in France to the society of London.
Rating: Summary: Very Hot and Steamy Review: The love scenes in this book are wonderfully hot and yet also very tender and loving. Both the hero and the heroine really want to please the other. Catherine is a strong heroine who finds herself with Gypsies and she soon discovers that even though she is a countess she likes being just an average person just as much, especially when she is bought by the hero, Dominic. He is half English and half Gypsy and is having a very hard time fitting in in either world. He is fighting his feelings of love for Catherine and his feelings of hate for his father. I actually found him very vunerable and endering. I am looking forward to reading the Next book "Sweet Vengeance" because I think its about Dominic's best friend.
Rating: Summary: It was not a page turner! Review: The whole story kept on revolving around Dominic not being able to have a real marriage life because of his thrist for revenge to his father for abondoning him and his mother, so he makes a vow to not marry and provide no heirs for his father's title. This was the only problem he could marry in name only, but this was also the only conflict of the Dominic's relationship with Catherine. I thought the story dragged because of this problem between them. Other than this, the whole story was actually pretty good.
Rating: Summary: Good Review: This book was entertaining, but the hero's internal conflict was very shallow. The book could have ended a little sooner if he'd had deeper conflicts. His bitterness toward his father also made him a very cold man for most of the story. But Ms. Martin is a very talented writer.
Rating: Summary: What a great stroy! Review: This is a very entertaining and moving tale of how badly love can go wrong, and how quickly love can make it all right again. I truly loved this novel. Catherine and Dominic are both head strong, stubborn, but also very passionate and very much in love. It takes a very long time for the both of them to realize just how much they love each other, and because of their stubborn pride, and they constant misunderstandings their love almost doesn't come into being. They both fight to keep their current lives under the control they feel they need, and struggle to stay apart from each other as if they know that in some way a life together would bring an end to all that they had promised themselves. I found myself wantnig the best for both characters and scolding them for being so stubborn, but with that in mind I can never doubt Ms. Martin's ability to make a character true and believable. This was a book that kept me reading hour after hour and wanting to know what would happen next. I enjoyed it throughly, and would recommend it to everyone.
