Review: Not only was it a asinine story about nothing, stylistically the writer can't write for beans. I cannot believe a book of such 3rd rate quality could capture the hearts of so many. Actually, yes I can.

Review: For a man to find a book that just rips at his inner soul, finding both pain and a book to laugh at is almost unheard of. When I read this book I was in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, on a Navy ship. I could realy relate with this book.

Review: This is the only book I have actually thrown across the room when I finished reading it; I only wish I could have graded it with zero stars. The writing was patronizing and the plot was ridiculous. Mr. Waller was apparantly hoping to catch the attention of the Harlequin Romance readers and repressed housewives. If you have not read this book, do youself a favor -- don't!

Review: I have spent the past half hour reading the posted reviews of this book. I'm not all that surprised that there are so many negative reviews. The book is slow and appears to be specifically targeted to the romantic - the Harlequin romance readers, the lonesome housewife. However, I am none of those things. It took me several months to finish reading the book. A friend gave it to me, and I just couldn't get interested in it. However, when I finally got into the middle of it, I couldn't put it down. The book is a reflection of the type of romance that every woman dreams of. It starts out slow and builds to something so powerful that you dont realize the scope of it until it's gone (or until after you read the book). I think that the problem most people have when they give it negative reviews is that they impose their realities on it. Lighten up! Enjoy the fantasy! Let go and have fun! This book took me out of my stuffy world and freed my sense of adventure and fantasy. (and just for you hohummers out there - four years after I read the book, I did have an experience similar to the one in the story...So, earthshattering romances do happen!) This book is for the senses, not the mind. So, don't think, just read. You'll have a wonderful time!

Review: I decided to read this book after seeeing it on the bookshelf at my dads house. I've heard a lot of great things about this book. After I started reading it, I realized it was only a big erotic love story, not a well written drama as it was portrayed to be. I was very disappointed in the way the book turned out.
