Summary: Timely technology thriller
Review: I loved this book. I was surprised that a writer would have such an understanding of complex technology. And I loved the reference in the book to another of my favorite authors! A fun book to read!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: very complex and entertaining
Review: I thought the book was very good. You really had to pay attention and read it carefully to get all the pieces to fit together. It is not a no-brainer easy read, rather a complex web of stories that works out in the end. I read it twice and got a lot more out of it the second time, and enjoyed different parts of the book both times.

Summary: Hmmm...
Review: My problem with this book is the characters. Does everybody have to be a super-man or super-woman? I like characters I can Identify with, not super-powered brainiacs who could rule the world if they chose to. Its hard to identify with ex-navy SEALs who also have advanced degrees in every discipline known to man. It was like watching an episode of Baywatch where the characters were smart and good-looking.

I appreciate that the other reviewers like the fast-paced plot, and it is well written, but the dialog sounds like a bad soap opera ("As you know, Bob, I..."). It was hard to finish. Buy it at a discount if you like these kind of thrillers, but if you want characters, look elsewhere.

Summary: A captivating thriller that's not easy to put down.
Review: Rarely do I take the time to read, let alone enjoy suspense filled thrillers. In the case of Spyder Web, I'm delighted I did.

I was entrapped by Tom Grace as he drew me deeper and deeper into the intrigue. This normally early-to-bedder found myself burning the midnight oil to finish.

Super story! Super characters! Super writer! Super book! Surely the movie will follow (but can it be as good?)

Summary: Spyder Web spins a world wide web of intrigue.
Review: Spyder Web is a fun, fast-paced action thriller about the about the murky, and occasionally lethal, world of industrial espionage. The spies are still out there, but now they're working for the private sector and they're getting very rich. I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Summary: Spyder Web
Review: The beginning to Spyder Web was somewhat confusing, but the action scenes kept me interested. The techno-stuff was intriguing and since I'm not techno-literate I was willing to accept whatever Tom presented. When the story line began to fall into place the novel moved more quickly, however when the love interest appeared it bogged down and the dialogue became sappy. And the ending... well, I thought I had mistakenly picked up my wife's latest Nora Roberts novel. Still, I'm waiting for the next Grace adventure. I may wait for the paperback.

Summary: Rushed finish to a good start
Review: This book has, at its core, one of the greatest premises for a plot I've seen in ages. The prospect of evolution alonside our species. The characters are pretty well defined, with a good pace to keep you reading through the night. However, 3/4s of the way through, the pace drops and the plot starts to lose its grip. The author has sped the ending up to an almost farcical close that has no value compared to the earlier chapters. On the whole however, I'd recommend this to someone who wants to read about what could, eventually, happen to humans on this planet. A must read? No. But a good read nevertheless!

Summary: Got it all
Review: This book was one of best books I ever read. I like espionage stories but since I'm a programmer, I want technology to be a big part of the story. This had both and it's hard to find these two things combined sometimes. Great action, more or less non-stop the whole way. This was a lot of fun and intelligent to boot. Has Grace written anything else? I want more.
