Summary: You can't keep a good man down.
Review: You can't keep a good man down. In Star Trek, they don't even stay dead. First Spock, and now Captain Kirk. Although the idea is completly contrived, I can't stay away. Kirk is alive and well. And yes I will read Spectre also. As much I enjoy seeing the Next Gen crew on the big screen, I never wanted to see Kirk die anyway. Did any Star Trek fan?

Summary: Kirk lives - and that's a fact!
Review: Picard is fantastic, Sisko is great and Janeway gets better and better in every episode, but face it, Kirk is the original, the real one. And I'm glad there are people left who care about Kirk. Well, in my opinion no one cares more about Kirk than Shatner. That Shatner is a science fiction author who is able to tell a story - you can see that in his TekEtc series. His Star Trek books are good stuff and a good read and it's relieving to see that Kirk, Spock and even McCoy are still around and not dead to the creators of Star Trek. The books of Shatner tell good stories which fit into the Star Trek universe neatly; to me the most important part is that Kirk is back - to kill Kirk would mean to kill a valid part of Star Trek. Let Kirk be dead for the movie-goers. For the rest of us who where there in the seventies or even the sixties: Kirk is alive - and that's a fact!

Summary: silly and fun
Review: everyone needs to read a trash book once in a while. Its the kind of a book you can read in a bubble bath and if it falls in no big deal.Everybody all ready knows how it ends.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Good Read
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I look forward to 'Spectre'.

Mr Shatner's writings are bringing Star Trek to life in a way that TV + movies + James Blish failed to do. (But I'd love to see another ST/TOS movie or two)

Keep it up Mr S!

Summary: The Return was good but flawed - this is one big flaw
Review: How many times can one man be brought back to life? Even Jesus Christ only managed that feat once.

I had thought that the "pull this lever to destroy the Borg" was a contrived ending, but this takes the biscuit...

And how can the EMH, which is programmed with all the knowledge of all major Starfleet personnel be inferior to any one major Starfleet Doctor? Did McCoy hold back some vital knowledge from Zimmerman - just so he could prove he was better if the opportunity arose?

And as for Vulcan terroists...

And holodecks you can "jump" out of... (And if Vulcans never commit crime, then why build prison cells unless they are for non-Vulcans, in which case why are they specifically designed to hold Vulcans?)

Basically this book was one big mess, from beginning to end.

And one last thing:

Oberth Class rams Soverign Class...

me thinks not...

Summary: Kirk & Spock together once more with Dr. McCoy!
Review: Overall, I would say the story line is quite tense, gripping and to my surprise...surprising! Who would guess that Kirk, Spock and McCoy are united once more. The only drawback is that we don't here any mention about Worf or DS9 (except for the Dominions).

Summary: good writing by an old man
Review: I WANTED TO READ IT JUST SO I COULD HEAR MORE ABOUT TEILANI. I HAVEN'T EVER HAD A WOMAN DESCRIBED IN A BOOK THAT I VISIONED TO BE AS BEAUTIFUL AS HER. I LIKED THE ESCAPE BY KIRK FROM THE EXPLOSION ON THE PREVIOUS BOOK

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Another explosive sequel
Review: I wanted to read this book because it was written by Shatner. I did read "The Return," I thought it was so good I read the next book. I was through this book faster then I was with the Return. I couldn't put it down. I say that everyone who reads this will like it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Avenger is a most engaging story, William Shatner is invent
Review: Avenger covers the entire timeline of Kirks adventures. It weaves together with cunnig and wit. There are certainly holes in the story but if it as read as intended (science fiction)you will be in for a thrill.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Shatner's text highly legible.
Review: With the utmost care, Shatner has chosen a typeface for "Avenger" which is both attractive and conducive to reading.
