Rating: Summary: Happy, fun and beautifully illustrated. Review: The story of King Bidgood is fun and happy and proves there is always an answer to things...just not the ones most would think of first!! The illustrations in this book are the most beautiful I've ever seen. My sons always find something new on each page, everytime we read it...again and again and again...!
Rating: Summary: Strange king in bathtub Review: This book is great for kids! I first read this book when I was in 2nd grade and I have loved it ever since. I read it every once and a while and still enjoy the king and his court. This book is fun for all ages, but mostly for the youngsters.
Rating: Summary: It is so nice to sit in the bathtub! Review: This children's book, illustrated by Don Wood, is about a king who refuses to leave his bathtub and to rule his kingdom as a king should. Children will laugh out loud at come of the antics. The book was a 1986 Caldecott Honor book (i.e., a runner-up to the Medal winner) for best illustrations in a book for children.
Rating: Summary: LOVE THE PICTURES Review: This is a fabulous book with wonderful lines for small children. My 4 1/2 year old is in love with this book. She laughs at how the king won't get out. She reads along with me and gets the funniest expressions when King Bidgood won't get out. It is a must read for young kids and their parents!

Rating: Summary: charming story, beautiful illustrations Review: This is one of my all-time favorite children's stories. We read that "King Bidgood's in the bathtub and he won't get out!" The lively characters, anxious to get their King out of the bathtub, but definitely not wanting to offend his royal sensibilities, subject themselves to the King's demands to fish with him -- in the tub. Dress up for a masquerade -- in the tub. Dine with him -- in the tub. The lyrics are cute, but the best part of this story is, without a doubt, the beautiful illustrations. This one is a keeper.
Rating: Summary: What's not to love? Review: This is one of our family favorites. The illustrations are beautiful and very detailed and the story is silly and fun to elaborate with character voices. A must like the Wood's other books.
Rating: Summary: Fun Review: This was one of my favorite books when I was young, as well as "The Napping House" by Audrey Wood. The great illustrations and the silly progressive storyline make this the perfect book to read to your kids. When my dad read it to me, we'd always say this part together in an exasperated tone: "King Bidgood's in the bathtub and he *won't get out*!!"
Rating: Summary: This will make you laugh! Review: When I was in 5th grade, I read King Bidgood's in the Bathtub, and got to hear the tape with it. It was so good, my brother and I would read it constantly. We would even walk to school singing the song (at the top of our lungs, of course!). A great children's book, all in all, with beautiful illustrations. The absurdity of fishing in a tub, going to war in a tub, eating lunch, and even having a royal ball in a bathtub will have you laughing in no time. Get it for the kids in you life, but I bet some adults will like it too!
