Summary: I loved this book!
Review: "Holding the Dream" is one of the best books I've ever read! The Dream Trilogy introduced me to Nora Roberts and since then I've never stopped reading her books. This piece of work gave me more gas to read other books from her when I finished The Dream Trilogy . "Holding the Dream" captures our attention and makes us think about how important love, carreer and health are in our lives.
Don't miss this really interesting, lovely and well written story!

Summary: Holding the Dream
Review: "Holding the Dream" is book #2 in Nora Roberts' "Dream" trilogy, and if it's possible I think this book is even better than the first.
Kate Powell, Laura Templeton's cousin, was orphaned as a child and has been raised by the Templetons as one of their own. Now, as an adult, Kate is an obsessive over-achiever, determined to succeed in business to "pay back" the Templetons for their generosity towards her. Just as everything is looking up and she believes she's about to get promoted to partner, Kate's life falls apart. She gets ill with a stomach ulcer, discovers that her father died during the middle of a messy scandal, and suddenly finds herself caught in a scandal of her own. Someone has set Kate up to make it look like she's been stealing from her company, and Kate must prove her innocence.
Kate isn't alone in this, however, as Southern gentleman Byron DeWitt has come into her life and is quite taken with this determined woman. Byron's support and faith in Kate help her get through these tough times. Laura and Margo, Kate's two best friends, show her unwavering loyalty, and the friendship these three share is the foundation of this entire trilogy. Kate's romance with Byron is exciting and realistic.
Kate is a wonderfully strong and independent heroine, and the tale Nora Roberts weaves is completely absorbing. I enjoyed Kate's story immensely and I know you will too, so read this book today!

Summary: (Sorry) This One Was Merely Okay...
Review: Although this was readable, it's one of those books that just didn't hold up to this author's talent. It was pretty boring, actually. Nothing like the first book in the series.

Summary: Now, this IS drivel. . .
Review: I bought it by accident! Honestly! I was stuck at O'Hare and had just finished Amy Tan's latest (which I DO recommend) and needed something to pass the time on the next leg of my trip and this was the ONLY seemingly non-thriller at the newsstand. I should have known better when the author's forward waxed poetic about the honor of pretending to be her heroine during her writing of the book. A ten for trash!

Summary: Hopeful Romantic
Review: I was told to read this triology and I am glad I did. Ms. Roberts did an excellent job in having the characters look and feel just like yourself or someone you know. It was very realistic and touching. I read the entire trilogy in less than 2 weeks. It will make you smile, cry, and dream of your true love. Continue on Ms. Roberts and give us more triologys!!
