Summary: Engaging -- no pun intended
Review: A spoonful of sugar definitely helps the medicine go down. Michelle's humor makes the strong medicine in this book easier to swallow. But don't let the grins fool you...there is serious Word content in this book that will correct and instruct you. If applied, it will help you grow in knowledge and understanding of how the Lord works in certain areas of our lives.

Summary: Wonderful
Review: As a new reader to Michelle's work I was delighted to have choosen a book that kept me in stiches, and yet questioning motives and actions. When I bought this book I talked to a friend at a bookstore, and she advised me to read this and it would help me to regain my walk. This book has changed me. I am actually ordering more as I am online for friends and other titles. Talk about a wake up call. Thank you Michelle...

Summary: Recommended Reading for All Singles
Review: As a woman who has been divorced for 18 years, I found that this book showed me singleness from a different perspective and how to prepare for the right "bus", but also how to spend my time while I'm waiting. Our singles ministry and Youth for Christ group have added this book to the recommended reading list, for the guys as well as the ladies. There's food for thought for everyone in this one!

Summary: Every single, Christian woman should read this book!
Review: Excellent book! Michelle McKinney-Hammond is a very down-to-earth writer. Reading her book made me feel like she was talking directly to me over a cup of coffee. The content is very encouraging for single Christian women who worry about finding "Mr. Right" before their ovaries dry up!

Summary: Guidance to becoming the queen that you always were.......
Review: Expanding on the precious, priceless knowledge dropped in her previous book "Secrets....," Michelle futher breaks it down, with scriptures and parables in place to back it all up, that we, as single God-fearing women, must submit to divine order and allow the men to come to us, as that is how God set things up from the beginning and intended for relationships to progress. If we are to receive the destined mates that will adore us and love us in the way that the Lord wants us to be, then we need to follow His plan by, essentially, submitting to His judgement, fulfilling his destiny for us and TRUSTING THE LORD TO DELIVER THE MAN WHEN HE THE BOTH OF US ARE READY. If you feel pressure from within and without to "find a man" and "get with the new millenium" way of doing things, then this book will encourage and center you. I highly, highly recommend this book, especially for the younger sisters. ESSENTIAL READING!!! A MUST!!!

Summary: Filled With Godly Advice
Review: For those who normally don't enjoy reading books, this book would keep you turning the pages. It's very easy to read and written in a conversational style (as opposed to preaching down).

In this book, Michelle encourages singles to not put our life on hold while waiting for the right one, being busy doing what God calls us to do in whatever season of life we may be in, and preparing ourselves to be godly. To find the right kind of person, we must first be the right kind of person. In submitting to God and waiting for the right timing, we discover God's true purpose in our lives. Her sense of humor, godly advice, gift in counseling and writing make this an excellent book.

I would also recommend her other book "What to Do Until Love Finds You." My favorite book by Michelle would be "Secrets of an Irresistible Woman."

Summary: Getting Your Priorities Straight, Girl!
Review: Hilarious! This book made me fall on the floor laughing. I called my Mom and made her listen, too! It's a very original take on an old message: get a life and then you can get a man!

Using scripture and real-life anecdotes, McKinney-Hammond gently teachs her readers: wait for the one God has for you. Live the life God has for you and the right man will come around. The bus metaphor (used in the title) is also used abundantly throughout the book and it is a memorable word-picture. Who can forget the picture of a girl running out to catch a bus (man) who doesn't really want her? How humiliating! How many single women have done it!

I definitely recommend this book -- for a laugh and a lesson.

Summary: WOW - this is a must for every single woman!
Review: I am not an avid reader and so a book must grab my attention in the first couple of pages or it's on the shelf - this one got me on the introduction! I read the first 3 chapters without stopping (not even for bathroom breaks!). Michelle tells it like it is and brings scripture to light for the single woman. She shows you why failed relationships should never have been started, giving you the motivation to get your life on track with God so when the 'right bus' comes along, you'll be ready for it. I highly recommend this book to single women of all ages! I even bought another book to give a friend so I can re-read mine again!

Summary: Just What I needed
Review: I have never read a book that had me laughing, crying, and rethinking my position as a woman at the same time. The book brought out thoughts you were thinking, but to afraid to be honest about in yourself. It was informative, and gave me alot to ponder.

I would highly recommend this book for anyone, who has been in quite a few unsuccessful relationships. It gives you a new perspective of life that you knew, but maybe put aside or ignored.

The author was honest enough to let us know her feelings, and realize we all share those feelings. This book is an A+.
