Rating: Summary: Reads like a Hollywood movie Review: Was that the author's intent? Interesting and arresting with bits of action, sex and mystery stirred into a plot that're part fictional and part real, given the author's background as a former federal prosecutor. There are a few players but the main progatonists are Asst US Attorney Julie Beck and the lover she sent to prison, Bobby Lee Baker. The characters are fun as they bicker along a case to track down a clever schemer laundering in drugs with both the Latins and the Chinese. I wouldn't call this a beach book but if you want to escape for a while into a world where people would normally not want to venture into, go for it. The author's dark humor is especially fun.
