Summary: It is a really funny book.
Review: I thought that this book was very funny. I liked the part when Junie B. said, "I know what she'll do. She'll bash the monsters head in with a broom because I have seen her do that with a roach and she is great at it!" I think that Barbara Park made a very good book and a good character out of Junie B. Jones.

Summary: " Junie B. can't sleep!"
Review: it was picture day in room nine. and paulie allen puffer has convinced junie b. that there is a monster under everybody's bed."why do you think that mommy's and daddy's sleep together? to keep each other safe from the monster!" paulie allen puffer finally convinced junie b. then to top it off, her best friend, that grace, told her that there really was a monster under her bed! so junie b. decided that her mom could bash it on the head. but when her mom got home she said that there was no such thing as a monster and that she wouldn't bash the monster over the head with the broom. the next day that grace told her that her mom got rid of her monster. she sucked it up in the vacuum cleaner, and then she put the vacuum bag with the monster in it and she compacted it! sooo...... to find out more about this book, go to your local library and check out JUNIE B. JONES HAS A MONSTER UNDER HER BED BY BARBARA PARK ILLUSTRATED BY DENISE BRUNKUS.

Summary: Junie B. Jones Has a Monster Under Her Bed
Review: My 7 year old daughter loves these books. She can't get enough of them. They really are good serial books for children who have just started to read on their own.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Hilarious
Review: My children and I read such a variety of books that the use of grammar in this book doesn't alarm me at all. If the only books they ever read were Junie B., then I would be a little more concerned. The use of grammar in this book is necessary in order to see things from Junie B.'s perspective. We think Junie B. is hilarious. We laugh so hard together every time we read Junie B. We collect all the Junie B. books. If you like to read and laugh with your child, then I highly recommend them.

Summary: Bad Grammar
Review: My daughter picked out this book at her school book fair. The story line was OK. Both my 6 and 3 year old liked the story. What I didn't like was the BAD grammar used in the book. I suppose that the author was trying to write like a kindergartener speaks, but I was not amused. I think this book reinforces bad speaking and spelling habits. We will not read another book in this series again.

Summary: Junie B Jones Has a Monster Under Her Bed (#8)

Summary: It scared my cousin! Not so good!!!!!
Review: This book makes kids think monsters are under their beds, waiting to eat their toes after they're asleep and put the kid's head in its mouth. This story isn't the best for little kids. My little 6-year-old cousin, Ginny, got this book and I read it to her. She got scared. I do not like this book. It can scare kids, it scared me a bit. I like reading Junie B., but I don't like Monster Under the Bed. It isn't as good as the others. From, Indy J., Third Grader

Summary: "Eek! There's a MONSTER under my bed!!" Pathetic!!!!!!!!
Review: This is the first and last Junie B. book I will read to my 5-year-old. I can't read straight from the book with a good conscience because the grammar is so poor. I don't want to introduce my articulate kindergartener to such a horrible use of language, so I've had to translate to proper grammar while reading. That's just not much fun.

If you want to reinforce bad grammar habits while reading to your child, this is the book for you.
