Summary: Fabulous! Required reading for all fans of the late P.O.W.
Review: I thought that Christopher Anderson wrote one of the best books about the late P.O.W.that I have read. I was/am a fan of the late Princess from the announcement of her engagement to her death and beyond. I have, in the past 16 years amassed am impressive collection of Diana memorabilia from the very first issue of Royalty Monthy that featured her picture to every magazine article that was written that I could get my hands on to EVERY hardcover book published about her. I can say, with complete honesty, that I have the diminutive collection on Diana. There have been quite a few books published since her death, most of them pure drivel, long on fawning words, re-hashed photos and quotes from "anonymous sources", but here, for the first time, is a piece that reads at a fast clip, that is unflinching in it's investigation of the ugliness of her death, and talks to the overlooked people that would really know. I read Anderson's book Jack and Jackie and loved it, that's why I decided to buy this book. It holds a place of honor in my collection. The author is to be commended for an engrossing, compelling, high-readable tome.

Summary: IMPOSSIBLE TO PUT DOWN
Review: WHATEVER ONE'S OPINION OF THE LATE PRINCESS MAY BE, THE FACTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES. SHE WAS A VIBRANT YOUNG WOMAN AND A DEVOTED MOTHER AND DIED A TRAGIC, SENSELESS (AND QUITE EASILY AVOIDABLE) DEATH IN A PARIS TUNNEL. ANYONE WHO FAILS TO BE MOVED BY SUCH A STORY SHOULD RECONSIDER WHAT IT MEANS TO BELONG TO HUMANITY.

Summary: Great book to read
Review: Its a great book to read for the fans of princess Di.

Summary: couldn't put it down
Review: I've been reading Diana books for a long time now, especially since her death last August. This book was very diffucult to put down. At several chapters I found my eyes tearing over as I read the account of the hospital staff that lovingly prepared Diana's body. I also found myself quite surprised by Charles' reaction when he saw Diana's body for the first time. This is a definite read for anyone who is a true Diana fan.

Summary: Intruiging, thought provoking and tragic....
Review: Splendidly written! I was so relieved to discover that Diana was HUMAN! She always seemed so surreal, it was fabulous to see that she could cuss like a human, and feel the same things in life we all do. I almost hoped though, that the ending of the book would be different. That history could be re-written, and she would still be with us. But alas, she is gone, and I now have this wonderful book to read, and re-read, and feel as though I could have known her. She would have made a better queen than Elizabeth...the tin queen still looking for a heart.....

Summary: Loved the book, hated the Queen.
Review: Great Book!! I couldn't put it down, yet it was so sad reading about it and reliving all that happened almost one year ago. Well written and researched. After reading of his reaction to her death and his grief, I felt some sympathy for Prince Charles. The Queen, on the other hand, horrified me with her cold hatred for Diana. And I too, was struck by all the what ifs. In particular, the fact that if Diana had hired her own bodyguards, loyal to her only, instead of relying on Dodi's, she might be with us today. And yes, I cried at the end.

Summary: A very good behind the scenes read
Review: This book was difficult to put down and was not afraid to outline the callous actions of the Queen in the face of this tragedy. It was well researched and I found it extremely enjoyable but sensitively written and tinged with the sadness of the loss of a wonderful princess.

Summary: A Must Read for all persons interested in Diana
Review: The Day Diana Died is the type of book that when one starts to read it, they find it can not be put it down. It is written in a very flowing style, giving some information already that was released in the press, but there is new bits of information not before reported by the media. This is a must read for those who was "fans" of Diana, Princess of Wales, one that I would highly recommend!

Summary: Enough already!
Review: Why do people flock to a book like this? They think its a tribute to Diana while they miss what it really is; yet another chance for an otherwise talentless writer to cash in on the tragedy. Her death is now a money making industry in and of itself with every would-be-author jumping into the ring to pump out a quick book and grab some cash. Spare me the " it was a tribute" or "a labour of love" excuses. It's greed. Pure and simple.

My advice, if you really honestly love the lady and everything she stood for, is stop funding these hack writers, put away your Elton John single, and move on with your life. Just because it has a pretty cover doesn't hide the fact that it's tabloid journalism. Or if you remember, the very thing that helped drive the princess to an early grave.

Summary: Touching, couldn't put it down, heartfelt, read it in 1 day.
Review: The Day Diana Died,is a book that brings out many of your emotions. The book describes not only known facts, but many unknown facts. There were parts of the book that brought one so close to the situation. The book made you feel like you were there. When I read the book, it seemed so incrediably close, that I had to remember that this really happened, and this was not just a story. The book let us in and the many aspects of Dianas life and death. It also made one realize how many misconceptions there are. I found the reading so intense that I read the book in one day. I highly recomend this book, but realize it really touches you.
