Rating: Summary: To read again and again Review: Soul Prints is a wonderful book. I've read it twice already, and every time, I find something new in it. Each story or bit of advice leads you step by step towards a clearer view of your own soul print -- the real self that unfortunately so often gets hidden by daily life. The stories and bits of philosophy are told in exactly the right tone: neither the over-simplistic and gratingly cheerful attitude of pop psychology, nor the rather elitist, obscuring sort of Kabbalistic references that you have to be a Kabbalistic scholar already to have any hope of understanding. I first read this book over half a year ago, and I can myself say that it has changed me -- sent me down different, better paths. Definitely, read it!
Rating: Summary: Poor book in the name of Kabbalah Review: This book has more to do with the author than with Kabbalah.
Rating: Summary: Treasure Chest Review: This book's a Gold Rush - Rush out to Read it! Soul Prints - What a treasure chest of stories and teaching and guidance! My husband and I are both voraciously reading it - fighting over who gets to read it when! Gafni is one of those alchemist authors who knows how to turn the written word into gold. Every page sparkles-whether it be through spell binding stories, transformative "soul print practices", or deep mystical insights. Gafni draws from what seems to be a fathomless reservoir of wisdom, and knowledge of the mystical mechanics of the world. And yet, he expresses these depths and mysteries in the most accessible of ways. Making the complex, quite simple. Likewise he can take the most common of ideas and cast it in a new light. Making the seemingly simple, quite complex. For instance, he returns us to the beauty of the most basic of Biblical texts, taking Biblical stories we have heard a dozen times and revealing in them insights we never would have imagined-insights that can revolutionize the way that we live in the world. This book is the perfect read for the mystical initiate, or for the business man, for a person searching, or for a person who has found, yet wants deepening. This alchemist author helps us bcome alchemist readers - able to turn our most common characteristics into Soul Prints of gold. Eureka!!!
Rating: Summary: beautiful book Review: what a gift this book is. gafni takes us on a journey with him. using biblical language and mysticism, gafni encourages us to live authentically by getting in touch with our soul prints. i love the focus on how everyone matters and how important it is stay with feelings such a loneliness so we can learn how to be ourselves and then be in true community with others. for those, like me, who may be put off by the biblical references, please know that this book is really for everybody. i am neither jewish nor christian but i could still relate to how gafni presents the old testament/torah in this book. it is the underlying message to live life fully that is at the heart of this book. as such, it really is accessible for all. a true joy to read and a wonderful gift to savor!
