Summary: Abysmal Mystery, Lackluster Romance
Review: Brown fails on both counts with this one. The mystery was far-fetched, but I won't go into it because I don't want to spoil it for those who'll read this despite my review. Let's just skip to the so-called romance. As another reviewer noted, there wasn't any romance. There was one fast, furious sex scene about five minutes after the hero & heroine first meet (I'm not kidding). There's only one word for what occurred, and it's 4 letters and begins with "f." I know that romance novel readers are supposed to accept a lot unrealistic scenarios, but I just couldn't buy into this one.

Skip this one and pick up SLOW HEAT IN HEAVEN or BREATH OF SCANDAL if you're interested in reading something Brown wrote that actually might be worth your time.

Summary: The First Novel Ever to Turn Me on To Sandra Brown
Review: My mother-in-law handed me this book one day, and I took it full of skepticism. I'd never heard of Sandra Brown, nor was I terribly interested in suspense novels. I certainly misjudged this book.
Sandra Brown presents us with a wonderful plot twisting, suspesful tail in which we follow the first lady of the united states through dealing with her child's death. She doesn't believe that her baby really died of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), but is having quite a bit of trouble finding any evidence to the contrary.
The first lady takes her leap of faith in confiding in a scarcely known reporter for a not-so-hot magazine. The reporter is the key to the mystery's undoing.
The book is fantastic! Since reading this book I've gone on to read at least seven other books by Sandra Brown and I certainly intend to read more!! Enjoy!!!

Summary: Unbelievable!
Review: My suspicions were confirmed that Sandra Brown has written romance novels in the past. That was my assumption when I read this book. The characters were shallow, the surprise ending was predicted, and nothing about this book was believable. It was fast-paced, and I finished it, but it is one of the least favorite books I've read in a while. We selected this book at my book club, and nobody seemed to enjoy it very much. Overall, it was just ridiculous!

Summary: DEFINATELY "HOT"!!!!
Review: To be honest, I've been "hot and cold" on Sandra Brown's novels. This book hooked me right away! It is the best book I've read by Ms. Brown. The story held my interest because of the plot twists and turns. Just when you think you have a certain character "pegged", you get a surprise!! "Exclusive" mixes politics, romance and mystery superbly. The characters are very believable -- you keep turning the pages, anxious to see what will happen next! You will not be bored with the book.
