Summary: Irresistible Forces
Review: Being a first time reader of Danielle Steel, I was very disappointed. The main characters "Steve" and "Merrie" protrayed the role of two lovers with complicated lives. The same plot continued throughout the book, leaving the ending predictable. Steel talked about the same idea over and over all through the book. Steve and Merrie are constantly telling people how much they love each other although they never have a free minute to be together. It was easy to tell what would happen in the end just by reading the middle of the novel. Steel needs to add a good twist to the end also adding some originality.

Summary: Realistic yet sentimental
Review: Danielle Steel does a GREAT job in Irresistible Forces in telling a story of todays hectic, hussle and bussle world and how sometimes love should conqure all... even if it means questioning our views about right and wrong... good guys and bad guys... and marriage. This book got me to think... or re-evaluate... marriage and following your heart. Sometimes when you lose... you win. I simply loved this book. The beginning may seem a little long with the character development, but how else are you supposed to fall in love with the characters, and the book coming to fruition is well worth the read. I LOVED IT!!!

Summary: Yawn!!!!
Review: DANIELLE STEEL nobody does it the way you do--but oh how they try. You did not get your 40+ best seller without due diligence. I want to thank you for creating the heroines that I love to LOVE.

NOW, we all know that Steve should have taken his behinds on out to California with Meredith when he first insisted that she take the job--to make all that big money that she willingly shared with him--when he was making only pennies. He knew his wife was faithful but she was also human. He delilberately pretended that he could not do what any other devoted spouse would have done, and that was to accept employment in his field with the first hospital that offered him a position after his big job offer failed-- so he could be with his wife. But no, he claimed he could only accept employment that would have resulted in a promotion for him. Well, he got just what he deserved. Meredith finally gave in to her emotions and so did he--results, divorce. That will teach men that they cannot have one set of rules for themselves and another for the women in their lives.

DANIELLE, like all your love stories, I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Cal was just too much of what Meredith needed and vice-versa, they were destined to fall in love and live happily ever after.

DANIELLE STEEL, keep on spiting out your books as your stories take us where we cannot go ourselves--but get there nonethelelss, vicariously, thanks to you

Summary: Not her best
Review: I agree with the other reviewers in saying that this was not one of her best books. It just seemed so predictable & boring. The writing could use some work too, saying the same thing over & over gets frustrating to read- I'd rather have a shorter book! The only thing I did enjoy was the characters- some you love & some you love to hate. But if you're looking for something good by Ms. Steel- I'd recommend The Wedding, Star or Heartbeat instead.

Summary: yawn
Review: I am a huge Danielle Steel fan, however this story could have been told in 75 pages. I feel it is one of her worst, Sorry Danielle! Just finished "The Kiss" and loved that one!!

Summary: This one's got my vote!
Review: I found this book to be one of Danielle Steele's best; however, I don't like how she was so vague on the characters' descriptions. If you're looking for a book that makes you laugh and makes you cry then this is the book for you. If you are looking for a book with an unexpecting ending then I suggest you read this one.

Review: if your an Danielle Steele fan this is right up there with all the other styleized reads. Mostly you can take any story. line and change names, and local, and you have the story.I will give it this much, the story was somewhat different but lets get real, can they all be that dumb??? I do give her E for effort.

Summary: Terrible, Terrible, Terrible!!!
Review: This book is terrible, awful, and immoral and if you love Danielle Steel books (don't bother to read this one). My fiancee and I love to read to each other and I got angry/mad after reading this book. I just don't believe that marriage is based on cheating. I think Danielle Steel may have had one to many drinks while writing this book.
