Review: All I can say about it is great. I loved it. My favorite charactor would have to be the centipede. I think it is one of the best childrens book of all time.

Summary: My nine-year old loved it!
Review: My nine-year old, who is a dedicated Roald Dahl fan, absolutely loved this book. My daughter also liked it so much that she refused to see the movie. She was afraid that the movie would ruin the story.

Summary: I THINK IT IS ONE OF ROALD DAHL'S BEST BOOKS.
Review: I really liked the book better than the movie because Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker got killed in the book but not in the movie. Everybody who has not read this book, I suggest that you read it. Most of the third through the fifth graders at my school have read it and said that it was very good.

  Summary: Loved it!
Review: The death of James' parents makes his boyhood lonesome and full of hard work, yet exciting. James's life was lonesome because when his mother and father died he had to go live with his aunts and there were no kids to play with. His life was hard work because living with his aunts, who are lazy, James had to do all of the chores. James's life was exciting because when the big peach grew he went inside and met all new freinds and began an adventure. James adventure is when he sees an old man in his yard and the old man gives him green shiney beans and if he drinks them good things will happen. But, on his way back to the house he dropped them and they were absorbed by the peach tree and insects and the result was an enormous peach and enormous insects. One day there was a hole in the peach. Huge insects were in there and together they rolled down the big hill that they lived on, all the way to the ocean where the real adventure begins.

Summary: This story enchants me every time I read it
Review: I saved only a few books from my childhood and this is one of them. Now with a child of my own I can't wait to introduce him to James' world , and cheer as Aunt Spiker and Aunt Sponge get their just desserts!

Summary: This book is peachy good fun!
Review: Please do not judge this book by the movie of the same title! The book is fun and imaginative and just quirky enough for kids to love it. My daughter and I read it together and loved it. The only caution is that there is some language in the very first (where the wicked aunts are verbally abusing the boy) that could be offensive. Personally, I was reading aloud to my daughter and simply changed those words to something I considered appropriate. We had a great time with this book

Summary: James and the Giant Peach
Review: I am a long lasting fan of Roald Dahl! I discovered his wonderful writing at my library when I found James and the Giant Peach. I checked it out and read it.
I could hardly get my hands on it after that! Because it was always checked out . Finally I got my hands on it again and I read it over and over again. It's a good book!;~)

Summary: the ultimate warm fuzzy book
Review: When I was younger, I refused to read this book because I thought it was too short. I finally read it when I was a junior in high school, because one of my friends recommended it to me. I'm so glad that I did. "James and the Giant Peach" is one of the best books I've ever read. Dahl writes with such beautiful description--you can almost TASTE the peach. This book reminded me of what it was like to be young again...I really love this book. It's my all-time favorite
