Review: I knew from the very beginning that this would be a great book.
The cover itself gives it a great invite into the book and from the very first page you are swept away once agin by Fern's wonderful writing- I must admit that I have read 98% of her books and never have been disappointed-

Review: I liked the story well enough, but agree with a lot of the other reviewers in that it could have been written and edited a lot better. I wonder if they realized there's something called a thesaurus out there? Certain cliche phrases are used too often. I would probably read more from her, but my expectations are pretty low.

Review: I literally could not put this book down, staying up till three in the morning because I had to see how it ended. This is one of those books that makes you keep thinking about it long after you finish it. The characters played off one another perfectly. I laughed, I giggled and once or twice I shouted, Yah, way to go, girl! The ending was so wonderful, I read it three times. This author never disappoints. Well worth buying.

Review: I only read up to page 125 and couldn't read another word. This book is so poorly written and the plot so juvenile that I'm surprised it was even published. Maybe Fern Michaels needs to go back to the time when she/they actually had to put some effort into it.

Review: I read this book and i immediately thought to myself, "This reminds me of my own life!" , as I was in an accident that I do not remember so was able to identify with Michael's main character, "Cady Jordan". Her struggle with the loss of part of her own past...and her identity as well. So she returns home to her beautiful grandmother "Lola Jor Dan" -- distinguished, beautiful inside and out, supportive and of course....wanting the best things in life for her granddaughter. And the story reads well and is a truly enjoyable read -- it keeps you interested at every moment -- like a Danielle Steel novel, but a bit more complex and this one touched very close to home. As Cady returns to her hometown to live with her grandmother, she begins to put bits and pieces of her forgotten accident togerther. Cady - and her dog "Atlas," meet Cady's old so-called friends. Questions are raised about the day of Cady's accident - not just what exactly happened, but also why her friends claimed they were not there the day that the terrible event occurred....and why the town bully was there that day -- who had tormented Cady and died parallel to the accident she cannot remember. But as the story unfolds, the reader questions: Who can you -- and who can you not - trust?Why are the people you thought were your friends as a child suddenly turing into your worst enemies? This book leaves me thoughtful about friendship, growing up, and ultimately facing the truth.

Summary: EXCELLENT!
Review: I really liked this book. I felt like I knew people just like the characters. It's always interesting to see what kind of a person a child is and what kind of an adult they turn into. The author did a wonderful job with the characters. The old trio was just as interesting as the main character. I have to admit I shed a tear or two along the way. To me that is the mark of a good book.

Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I have read all of Ms. Michaels books, and this one was so enjoyable. It made me laugh outloud.

Review: I thought this book was very well crafted for what it is. Its a story and supposed to take you into the lives of others not be completely realistic (that would make it boring). Would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice weekend read. I loved Lola especially all the talk about going on saffari.

Summary: CAUTION! What a bad book to read!
Review: I'm an avid reader and I just love to read everything. But, this is the FIRST time I have ever wanted to just chuck the book in the trash! I feel like I wasted my money on buying this book! The plot is really dumb, plain and simple, it's dumb! The author attempts (and fails miserably) to build a suspenseful plot around the fact that the main character, Cady, can't remember a simple accident that she got into. It's so cheesy! The author makes a big deal out of a situation that does not invoke fear nor does it call for such drama. Also, the dialogue is very child-like. The author doesn't give the reader the benefit that we can actually put two and two together, so it almost seems condescending. It's terribly written, wish I could get a refund!
