Summary: Fantastic
Review: Loaded with historical information that appealed to me. Fast paced, couldn't wait to get home from work to read it. Best I've read in a long, long time!

Summary: Page Turner Supreme
Review: Look in the dictionary under the definition of great writing; this book is it.

Summary: Whining Christians!
Review: Look, to all the bloody Christians out there, I say STOP WHINGING and pretending to be so devout by being offended by this book! What would be so bad about Jesus being married anyway? Mohammed was married, you know! And what's more, this book shows up just how arrogant and bigoted Christianity is because it focusses on the man and the male. What's so wrong about female divinity anyway? Dan makes a very good point, amongst many others, that the bible was written by humans, and what's more MALE humans. Of course it is going to reflect the interests of the church and the power it weilded over people! Develop a thicker skin or just pretend that the book doesn't exist if you want to bury your heads in the sand and hide from the truth!

Summary: Sorry son...
Review: Looking back, I could have spent quality time with my son rather than wasting it on this book ("son, sorry for snapping at you when you tried to tear one of the pages"). I was promised a thrilling end, but was disappointed, or frankly speaking cheated. What began as an interesting thriller, ended up in a series of ridiculous twists and turns. Don't waste your hard earned $$$ on the movie.

Summary: Save your money
Review: Lots of information which is supposed to be fact set around a preposterous story line make this book hard to swallow. Sorry only 2 stars.

Summary: Make Sure You Have The Time... you won't put it down!
Review: Loved it from beginning to end. One of the best books I've read in years! Now I've got to go back and read Dan Brown's earlier works, too.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Could not put it Down
Review: Loved it! I would like to see the book in a movie- Indiana Jones style! Could not put it down.

Summary: not very good
Review: Low grade fairy tale. I understand what people are saying about it "just being a book", but Brown himself claims the historical references are fact. Well, they aren't and the stretches of conjecture used are rather insulting propaganda. Why do people reward this? The people that like this book say it makes them think. It would be wonderful if it made them educate themselves about history. Dan might deserve his money then. It's easy to be condescending to reader's that become angry at "a work of fiction". People are believing this though.
The people that believe the claims of this novel are often rather militant about it. They say: "Did you hear that Christianity is a hoax?". "Did you hear that women 'had it made' before Christianity?" It's ridiculous.
People should be angry at this book but instead they turn their attentions toward a movie that teaches compassion in the face of brutality. What does this book teach? To worship 'the goddess'?
Both teachings require faith. For me it's a simple choice.

Summary: not so good
Review: Low grade fairy tale. I understand what people are saying about it "just being a book", but Brown himself claims the historical references are fact. Actually, they are not fact and the stretches of conjecture used are rather insulting propaganda. Why do people reward this? The people that like this book say it makes them think, but if it made us educate ourselves about history then Dan might deserve his money.
It's easy to be condescending to readers that become angry at "a work of fiction" but the book is not presented as fiction and many readers are believing it.
People should be saddened by this book and what it represents but instead they turn their attention and anger toward a movie that teaches love and compassion in the face of brutality. What does this book teach? All teachings require faith - which deserves it more? (Borrow a copy - it seems that everyone is buying it.)

Summary: Another Catholic Cover-Up?
Review: Man! Dan Brown must have some beef with the Catholic Church. But I must say, his beef makes for a good read. I've never learned so much from reading fiction in the whole of my life. Brown's research is meticulous, so much so that you start to believe his books should be in the non-fiction section. I truly enjoyed this book. Breaking codes and following clues...Brown has presented an engaging mystery that takes you from point A to point Z before you know it and teaches you something along the way. Even though I'm sure he's not too popular with the Vatican, I hope Brown keeps it up.
