Summary: Franken Team Earns Two Pulitzers!
Review: Sorry, I meant two Pollitts. As "cool guy" below says, the important thing is not what's true, it's what most people believe. Al and Team Franken have done you the inestimable favor of putting in the time you yourself may not be able to spare for the sake of actually investigating a few detailed instances of exactly how the truth is manufactured and served piping hot into the starved brains of the rabid gullible. The thing that will make you really mad is just how much of it YOU YOURSELF did not know was untrue.Now, is that a problem, to have massive segments of the society not just permeated by lies repeated ad infinitum, but completely dominated by huge, fundamental lies, lies that practically cry out for the righteous footsoldier to rise up and annihiliate all the social rot that's accumulated since the insidious advent of Port Huron Liberalism, or even since the passing of the socialist-inspired Wagner or Keating-Owen Acts? Well maybe. But it isn't really happening, is it? Nah. But just for a laugh, check out the facts on social legislation proffered by the gentleman with the Bleeding Heart below. Now, where do you suppose those came from, and just what relationship do you reckon any of it bears to anything that may have ever actually happened on whatever planet he may be from? And just how many other xerox heads do you suppose there may be who can tell you exactly the same things? Yes, absolutely, how could Terry Gross have made a martyr of that blotch-faced lying bully? What on earth was she thinking?

Review: Speaking of lies and the lying liars who tell them--Al Franken and all you haters need to get a real life and purpose other than hating George Bush. What you really are angry about is how useless and pathetic your lives seem to be to you. This is the greatest country on earth. Please go live in France or anyplace else. We'll soon see you floating back on one of those life rafts along with the millions of aliens off the coast of Florida. Summary: man with satellite on head knows how not to be a wuss
Review: Still not sure how to one-word this review: Educational? Funny? Intelligent? SCARY? This book makes me feel like a fool. Like a fool for just sitting by and watching the deceptive right dupe the slightly retarded voting public-yet again. Being from California and watching as moronic 18 and over voters select the goddamn terminator as the governor sickens and frightens me. I heard on KPFK that some Berkeley students voted Arnold so that his signature would be on their degree. Their degree in stupidity perhaps. In Berkeley of all places...the EX-liberal hotbed has cooled to an alarming low. Did you know that Arnold asked Davis not to pass any more bills during the completion of his term as governor? No one should have to tell him why that doesn't benefit anyone- all bills submitted and not vetoed by the end of his term will be received as approved. Idiotic.
Unlike many a spineless liberal or falsetto hippie Franken tells it like it is and isn't afraid to resort to name-calling. I'm so tired of the right. I'm only 27 years old and working steadily towards my Second politically endorsed ulcer. Sure they lie, double lie then cover it up with a triple or quadruple lie, then when almost exposed, won't let you get a word in left-wise. What if all the southpaws just decided NOT TO BE A GUEST on those shows? No more radio badgering or televised bullying...what would happen if they just said- you want to know what I think-read THIS or check MY website or be on MY show. We demos are wimps...we don't play dirty but we don't win either. It's time...let's get angry, let's first of all stick together and let everyone whose ever been to a Planned Parenthood or received food stamps or welfare that if they don't get out and vote demo- they could lose these things. Most importantly VOTE YOUR PARTY. Why is it so hard for democrats to understand this? Repubs- moderate or extreme- vote republican always. That's pretty much why they win. We, on the other hand, want to give every candidate a fair chance. We weigh their fiction as fact and believe in their centrality. Why? We don't get the name 'bleeding heart' for nothing. It's time to STOP. Way to go Al! For the rest of you- grow up people, you can't play hardball with t-ball mitts.

Review: Such a refreshing change to read Al Franken's perspctive on the radical right tainted media. Thank GOD we live in America and you can say these things!! Just think, if all of the lies went uncriticized. We would live in a land similar to .....one of the Axis of Evil!!!! Hurray for America and the land of the FREE...Hurray Al Franken for having the guts to speak out freely! Thank you FOX for informing us that his book is available!

Review: Superb incisive satire. On a brief not, why can't the critics of this book spell? Have they been to school? Helpful hint - if you are talking about people it is "their", if you are talking about a place, it is "there". And if you don't know how to spell words such as "Hypocrisy", buy a dictionary.

Review: Sure Al Franken gave us the line refering to money(Send it to me,Al Franken)But I think this time you should keep it in your pocket. If you believe in the "right wing conspiracy" or the "Bush stole the election" nonsense, then you will love this
book. If you have a College degree, a private sector job, and a grip on reality, this book will just further your opinion of just how silly,angry,and irrational people can be if they don't get their way. I think AL may have inhailed too many fumes backstage on SNL.

Summary: Too bad many will write it off as just humor...
Review: Sure this book is laugh out loud funny, but if you look through the humor it is sad and quite frightening. The stranglehold of unreality created by conservatives that Franken exposes is all too real and all too powerful. I hope this book is a call to action among liberals who aren't ready to give in and be bullied. A must read if you can form your own thought processes and are a true patriot!

Review: Sure, Al Franken is a humorist and not a political scientist, but that's probably the best approach to exposing these light-weight yet powerful windbags. It's true that the collective failure of integrity of Coulter et al has contributed to an explosion of problems so disasterous for America (Uh, how many trillion did he say the deficit would be this year?) that their role verges on...ummm, dare I say it...treason (if Ann can change the definition of treason so can I). Yet their methodology is so puerile (weak logic, lies, distortions, bullying etc.) that ridicule really is the most effective response. And man does this book ridicule those pseudo-intellectual punks. Let's hope Franke's effort results in more people refusing to be hoodwinked.
