Summary: This book is symbolic of our road rage, lazy society!
Review: I'm a conservative republican and I don't support people from my party who angrily attack the left. It's easier to attack the opposition than is to improve ourselves. We can't control the left but we can try our best to make our own party better. It's laziness to criticize and blame others. It takes effort and character to respect people with different beliefs than our own.

Summary: YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK!!!
Review: TREASON: Liberal Treachery From the Cold War to the War On Terrorism by Ann Coulter is without a doubt the best historical political non-fiction I have ever read. Forget everything you learned in "history class." Coulter lays out the cold hard facts and they are irrefutable. "McCarthyism" is a load of bologna. HUAC (HOUSE Un-American Activities Committee (1947)) had nothing to do with SENATOR Joe McCarthy (gave first anti-Communist speech at Wheeling, Virginia in 1950). 57 people McCarthy named as Soviet spies WERE PROVEN SPIES by the release of classified Soviet Cables in 1995 and the Venona Project. FDR promoted and fawned over known Soviet spies. President Ronald Reagan WON the Cold War--Coulter tells how he managed it and what he was up against (Treasonous, short-sighted liberals). YOU MUST READ TIHS BOOK--Even if you are a Liberal Democrat. I know it will be hard to read Coulters smart-aleck editorializing (I find it fantastically amusing), but the FACTS are all there with CITATIONS to many PRIMARY SOURCES. Anyone giving this book one star and a two line "I hate this conservative you know what" review obviously didn't read the book and should be disregarded as an obfuscator of history and truth. This book is on my Mandatory Reading List for All Americans.

Summary: Is this the new voice of the right?
Review: It is unfortunate that the political discourse in this country has reached a new low with Ann Coulter's new book "Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism." It's interesting that Coulter accuses the entire Democratic Party of treason but will not name one person, living or dead, as being guilty of that serious crime. She can't even substantiate the title of the book. Although Coulter has an interesting writing style, her research is rather "sloppy." Coulter twists facts to make them fit her argument, and in some cases, just gets things wrong. One would think her editor would have done a better job of fact checking. Well, I'm sure her book will do well and that's not a bad thing. Having Coulter as the right wing pundit de jour is the best thing to happen to Democrats in a long time. It really is surprising that she is embraced by Conservatives because her book does more harm to their credibity than anything that the Democrats have been able to come up with.

Summary: Finally!
Review: Finally, a clear mind, a clear voice for the right.

Summary: Typical Coulter Vitriol
Review: Miss Coulter's mediocre literary skills are once again evident in her latest whiney, often vitriolic attack on liberals, Democrats, and basically anyone who does not agree with her intolerant, narrow view of what the world should be. The only reason her books sell is because she appeals to a blindly loyal, ultra-conservative segment of our population who can't get enough of mean-spirited liberal bashing the kind of which Miss Coulter consistently spews. Also, Coulter is very good at self-promotion on any media outlet that will have her. Do not waste your time or hard-earned money on this hate-mongering rubbish!

Summary: Treason?
Review: I saw the word TREASON on the cover and thought the book was about Grover Norquest, Ken Lay, The Carlyle Group and Halliburton Corp, amoung others. There's fertile ground for my reasoning. Too bad Coulter is so out of touch...she could write a real book about treason and could interview all her friends for material!

Summary: Something is wrong with this woman
Review: In this piece of junk, Annie-girl says that Democrats are against a discussion of whether they are "patriotic" or not. Well, after reading this horror, can we the discuss the mental stability of Annie-girl. She is truly off her rocker. Oh yeah, how did Ambrose Bierce describe patriotism "the last refuge of a scoundrel" - a perfect definition of Annie-girl.

Summary: Whirlwind read...
Review: From the moment I started this book, I was impressed with the research, footnotes and time this author had taken to present this view. I could not read it before going to bed, because, unlike some recent bestsellers, this one is not a soporific read. This LADY calls a spade a spade, which is so rare in our 'contemporary' society. Kudos, Ann. You are a great role model due to your veracity, knowledge, and wit. Well worth the time to digest.

Summary: Jihad Jihad
Review: She might be more of a worry for Liberals if she weren't constantly chipping away at her own credibility by coming off as a malignant variant of a neo-nutball. She is however a worry in a general sense because of those she may indoctorinate into her cause. I view her more as our Blonde Bin Laden, essentially calling for a homegrown Jihad.
Republicans seem to share a few key thought patterns that make them more suseptible to a very basic form of ignorance, and that is a true lack of self reflection and self doubt. Much like our easy answer President, resolute, no looking back, axis of evil . . . GW junior displays the mentality that puts soldiers in body bags and purchases books like Treason.
Coulter and Republicans predictably attempt to identify and label amorphous concepts like "Evil". The problem is that evil is a much more sophisticated chameleon beast than those that appoint themselves the bounty hunters of are, and when outsmarted by evil they merely cast a wider net. Such is the crux of the book and Republicans in general is that they actually think they can resample the grey areas of existence to black and white or better yet discount the greys completely.
With their lack of hesitation they often make the ideal vessels for hosting . . . . you got it . . . Evil.
Ding Ding Ding.

Summary: The pure dispensation of Truth
Review: Ann Coulter is the H.L. Mencken of our time. Her legal training comes in handy, because she lays out her argument in the logical, orderly manner of an attorney prosecuting a case. Ann makes use of the "but for" premise of the law, otherwise known as proximate causation. That is, she truthfully details how history plays out. Time after time, good results of history would not have occurred "but for" the bold actions of conservatives, while poor results of history would not have occurred "but for" the weak actions of liberals. She lays out straightforward facts that simply detail Truth by reading them with no need for additional commentary. There is another legal term for this: Res ipsa loquiter ("The things speaks for itself"). She does not claim that all liberals are traitors. There is a need for liberal argument in a two-party system. But she does demonstrate that when liberals have power, millions of human beings die. She chillingly describes how the 1995 Venona Project confirmed the worst suspicions of Richard Nixon and Joe McCarthy, that some 500 Communist spies worked for the State Department and the Roosevelt/Truman Administrations, at a time when the U.N. Charter was written to favor the Soviets and China was lost to Communism. Result: Mass murder above and beyond Hitler's regime. She goes on to describe weak-kneed Democrats, who allow every major war to start but never finish them, exposing Lyndon Johnson's losing strategy in Vietnam, as compared to the way Richard Nixon (who had the 1960 election stolen from him by the Kennedys) or Barry Goldwater would have brought victory to Vietnam if they had the opportunity in the beginning. She describes the disgusting manner in which the Teddy Kennedy Democrats used Watergate as pure political theatre, creating first the Church hearings that left the U.S. vulnerable, then hung the South Vietnamese out to dry. Result: North Vietnamese savagery and Pol Pot's Cambodia, where some 2 million died under Communism. Jimmy Carter's Presidency invited Communist expansion and Islamic terror, but Ronald Reagan turned it back. Ann describes Reagan winning the Cold War without firing a shot, and shows us how close we would be to losing the War on Terror if liberals were prevailing in the current climate. God bless a country - America - that produces the likes of Ann Coulter.
