Summary: Poor, poor Hillary got rich on fools buying this joke!
Review: Either Hillary is sadly out of touch with the real world or just stupid. I don't buy the victim that she want us to believe. Sorry, one again she is laughing all the way to the bank at our expense. Anybody want to buy my copy cheap?

Summary: What a pile...
Review: Garbage plain and simple. Comrade Hillary needs to move on to something relevant, her whole claim-to-fame is that her high profile husband cheated on her? This qualifies her to run for president? I for one don't think so. Too much attention paid to this person of questionable ethics. Rose Law Firm billing records anyone?

I found her book to be a dull and arduous read, nothing new here, save your money! I found it on the "community" bookshelf at work, obviously someone else found it something they didn't need to hold on to.

How about some honesty for once in your life Hillary? Certainly none here.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Pure revisionism and propaganda
Review: The lies of omission in this book are insulting to the intelligence of even a casual follower of Hillary's career. Seems she's eager to step on anyone's face for political gain, eh Bill?

Summary: Disappointing
Review: I was really looking forward to this product, but found it extremelly lacking. It was a waste of money and a disappointing read. Save your time and skip it!

Summary: Great Book, Don't Listen to the Conservatives!
Review: I read this book with great interest. I can't believe there are reviews written with one star. I don't believe these people read this book. If they did they couldn't give it one star. From the beginning, with the history of her parents to the end where she won the Senate seat in New York, I was fascinated with this book. How many conservatives were just using this site for their "views" and not really giving a review of this book? I would recommend this book to everyone. She is one of the most intelligent women in this world and the conservatives are afraid of that. This book shows that there is a "right wing" that has been trying to destroy President and Senator Clinton. If you aren't bias, you will enjoy this book.

Summary: pure Clinton [stuff]
Review: Rediculous... totally rediculous. This book avoids most of the issues everyone expected, and in my opinion only serves to put her name out to the public in a ... attempt to gain more votes once she decides to run for the presidency.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: 500 + pages of utter dreck
Review: This book is a farce in so many ways it would take as many ghost writers as Hillary used to delineate them all. She wrote essentially none of this book, yet has the temerity to put her name down as the sole author - that in a nutshell tells you everything you need to know about this woman.

The book, besides being false on so many levels, has the sin of being incredibly boring - paint drying, grass growing, boring.

If you read the out takes in Time or saw the softball Baba Wawa interview save yourself the time and trouble and get a good book for summer reading. Cause this ain't it.

Summary: Read it! It is worth buying!
Review: Don't believe all the Right-Wing reviewers in here who probably didn't read this book because they hated Hilary to begin with. They are trying to stop you from reading a true and honest account of her life and her years in the White House. It is one of the most interesting books I've read in a long time, and whether you like or dislike her read it. It is a good book, 500,000+ people can't be wrong!

And yes, I am a New Yorker and proud to call Hilary my Senator!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Second Best Revisionist History of 2003!!
Review: This is the second best revisionist history of the summer! The best is Bill Lee's THE LITTLE RED (SOX) BOOK.

Summary: Mrs. Clinton Goes To Washington
Review: " Of all the animals, man is the only one that is cruel. He is the only one that inflicts pain for the pleasure of doing it. " So states author and perennial wise-acre Mark Twain. And judging from some of the incredibly harsh and mean spirited reviews for Hillary Clinton's biography " Living History " I see that observation is as current today as the time that it was originally spoken. Nevertheless, hope being eternal I purchased my copy ( which I suspect is more then many previous reviewers did ) and, while not completely bowled over I am impressed.

Beginning with who actually penned Hillary's book many so-called readers seems piqued at the notion that Ms. Clinton did not actually write the book herself but had a ghost-writer do the body of work and she merely proof-read and made the necessary changes. I can assure any reader of this review that if you truly believe that the vast majority of your favorite biographies ( be they political or other ) are actually written by the very subject of that biography then you are truly misinformed. It is simply SOP for many of these books to be authored by another free-lance writer and proof read for accuracies and cohesiveness. Simple fact.

As far as her book is concerned I am impressed with the contents found within. Ms. Clinton does touch upon uncomfortable subjects such as Whitewater, Monica Lewinsky and the Conservative led failed impeachment process. She delves into her beginnings and her early years in college where she met William Jefferson Clinton. All told in a fairly simple matter-of-fact style. It is an extremely personal account of her and her husbands days in the White House and how, as President and First Lady, you do lead life in a fish bowl. Granted I do wish she seemed slightly more genuine about some of the misdeeds that seemed to occure with alarming regularity but overall I do feel the book is an honest account of those turbulent times. It is obviously apparent that Mrs. Clinton is an extremely politically astute and complex woman ( which may explain why some seem so judgemental of her ) and while others seem to suspect her of using her book as a platform for greater things I honestly believe that by writing this account of her life before the U.S. Senate she is simply answering age-old questions that seem to continuously come up wherever she may appear. Personally with all the vast scruitiny that she has been under for the past ten years ( which she has handled, for the most part, with true grace and aplomb ) I think Hillary is due some of the respect that many critics seem to feel she is unworthy of.

All that being the case, I did enjoy " Living History " and feel it's achieved its primary goal. That being giving the reader a slightly better and much more personal look at our former first lady and current Senator from N.Y. and how she may be judged in the future. Oscar Wilde once said, " One can live for years without living at all, and then all life comes crowding into one single hour. " This indeed is Hillary's hour.
