Summary: Compelling subject, terrible writer
Review: Despite the fascinating-- and deeply disturbing-- premise of this book, it is so poorly written as to be virtually unreadable. Mr. Baer substitutes innuendo, unsupported assertion, and conjecture for facts, evidence, and a cogent argument. He comes across as disgruntled and sophomoric. The U.S. - Saudi relationship is such a critical, and self-destructive, aspect of U.S. foreign policy-- it is a pity it isn't better explored here.

Review: Get away from the left and right wing crap and read this book instead. You'll get an education about life outside the United States. Your leaders have figured it out, why not you??
