Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Starts off great and has a disappointing finish
Review: The beginning of this novel grabs your attention and doesn't let go until the just past the middle. Unfortunately, at that point you can kind of guess where its going (except for the ending). Its still a good read, but don't expect the same calibre as his previous novels

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: couldn't put it down.
Review: Iloved this book . it tells the inter-truth about all of us, wanting to be someone else. but you can't be someone else. that's want the character in this book figured out the hard way.he thought he had it all figured out but he was dead wrong. read this book

Summary: Dissapointing
Review: I've read this book because a friend recommended me. Although I've found it entertaining, I think that some chapters are too long unnecessarily. The character of Patrick Lanigan has too much power to guide and rule the development of the story (some kind of untouchable character), however the character of Eva Miranda is better composed and intriguing. The author tired me because of the slow and "one bit at a time" storytelling, tending to be predictable. The end does not match at all with the whole story. I'd recommend the book to Grisham fans.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Fast-Paced with a Hollywood ending
Review: Grisham as always gives us a roller coaster of a book that you simply can not get unstuck from your hands. But I think John is going Hollywood on us (I guess he liked what happened to Time to Kill, Pelican Brief and Client), I mean Patrick's vision of how everything was going to be after he snatched $90 million was to good to be true, and that ending! it's got Hollywood written all over it. Makes you think of the ending in that Richard Gere movie, Primal Fear. Anyway, I still give him 5 stars, because I've never read a novel so avidly, and I enjoyed it thoroughly

Summary: Something both Grisham and his editors missed
Review: For a lawyer who knows everything about the U.S. Legal system, John Grisham has apparently not realized that there's no such thing as passport control when leaving the U.S. especially at Miami International Airport from which I have departed hundreds of times. This is a key point in the plot as it leads to the capture of Eva by the FBI.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Good book; Bad ending
Review: It is my favorite book of all-time! Great plot though a bit predictable. The legal strategy was frighteningly awesome! It kept me on the edge the whole time! The end sucks bad. Still read it for yourself.

Summary: Great story with an ending that will make you scream
Review: I enjoyed reading "The Partner" and I would recommend it to all those Grishman fans. But try to be in a good mood when you get to the end because the ending is unbeliveable. Never has a book made me get so upset about the ending. I was so shocked at the end that my copy was flying through the air in my apartment.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Attention-grabbing start, disappointing ending
Review: My attention, as usual with Grisham's writing, was taken captive from the start. The opening chapters made for the promise of an intriguing story, and it delivered.

The ending, however, felt like a betrayal to the reader. It is not the ending that makes me feel such -- instead it is that I feel certain characters would never have acted in certain ways at the beginning with what we come to understand near the ending. I feel very purposefully misled.

I believe I'll shelve The Partner and go read The Firm for the 4th time. It never disappoints.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Must Read
Review: This one is his best book ever. The ending is quite intresting. An absolute must read. Mahmut / Istanbul

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good format, but, please don't be predictable
Review: This was a very good read until the middle of the book when unfortunately, I had figured out what and who was going to do what they did. (don't want to give it away to someone who hasn't read the book yet) The plot was complex enough to hold interest, but then it became predictable just by clues given in the story. All in all it's a good book for quick reading.
