 Rating:
  Summary: Excellent
Review: If you enjoyed Angela's Ashes, the next book you read would have to be My First Cousin Once Removed.

 Rating:
  Summary: boring and depressing
Review: I really would not reccommend this book to anyone. Although I did read all of it, I had to force myself to keep reading. It really is not enjoyable or interesting.

 Rating:
Summary: The greatest contempary story to date
Review: only McCourt himself could describe the greatness of his Angela's Ashes with the true eloquence it deserves.

 Rating:
Summary: in appreciation for every meal hereafter.
Review: Frank McCort, this book was the best, Sad. I can't explain it. I didn't go back to work till the book was done. then it still took a few days. I can't apperciate a meal, or a warm place enough. It was like eating just after reading "Alive". i would sometimes just go to my kitchen and cook an egg or eat some soup. Frank come to my home and i'll get you some fish and chips. tis.

 Rating:
  Summary: Wonderful to listen to
Review: I had never tried an audio book before. A friend loaned me her tape and I fell in love. Have tried other audios since and find them lacking. The author was perfect to read this book.

 Rating:
Summary: Och, a round of pints on me for Frank McCourt!
Review: Frank McCourt delivers. The writing in "Angela's Ashes" is crisp and clear, and the story keeps the reader turning the page. Whoever awarded the Pulitzer for this book called the right shot.

 Rating:
  Summary: Broke my heart.
Review: I felt as if I were walking right behind Frank McCourt as I listened to him tell his story. I could see his life..if only I could have held him in my arms and told him it would all turn out fine. He would grow into a wonderful, gifted, loving man.

 Rating:
  Summary: Tremendous!
Review: Although I read the book almost a year ago, I still think about it frequently. An original and gripping story, I can't wait to read it again and again. Fantastic!

 Rating:
  Summary: A Gem
Review: Simply put, Frank McCourt has written a masterpiece. Thank you, Frank McCourt for writting this book, and sharing your gifted talent with the rest of us. I await 'Tis with sheer anticipation.

 Rating:
  Summary: Have another beer Frank
Review: I got through halfway the book and gave up. Where is the the NY Times number 1 bestseller? It was boring and the chapters were redundant. Dad loses his job. Dad comes home blammo. Dad makes us sing. Another sibling croaks. Come on did he have such a precise memory of his childhood? I don't even know what I did an hour ago. The only thing good about this book is Pop's taste in his brewskies. But then again, you probably can't get anything other than Guinness in Ireland. And Frank, you ever hear of "QUOTATION MARKS!?!?"
